Nothing we haven't seen in the trailer.

The Golden Armor doesn't look terrible- but those faces... wow. Pretty bad, Todd. Maybe the final product will look better.

Black Arbor 02-21-2020 09:23 AM

Golden eagle armor looks great, but the regular WW has a weird space between her tiara and hairline?

Gunathar 02-21-2020 09:25 AM

I was really looking forward to this but porportions are way off: short torso, thick thighs, apparent ugly joints... Ouch.

digger318 02-21-2020 09:26 AM

what the hell happened the the legs... the body proportions....

Riddick 02-21-2020 09:29 AM

WOOF!!

Those faces are atrocious.

Comedian 02-21-2020 09:36 AM

The faces need some work. But otherwise very well done.

Dolemite 02-21-2020 09:52 AM

The faces are weird, yeah. The main WW figure is just caked with an insane amount of make-up, plus the figure has brown hair while the "reference card" from the movie shows her with black hair. Doyyy.

CasualCollector 02-21-2020 10:06 AM

Come on... how do the old multiverse figures look better compared to these?!?!

protostar8 02-21-2020 10:10 AM

Wow, can you lay of the McBurgers WW??? Geez that face is so fat lol. McFarlane really needs to hire someone that can make faces.

cjflan32 02-21-2020 10:12 AM

And someone on the DC Direct page had the audacity to tell me to buy McFarlane products if I didn't like DCD.

DigiFizz 02-21-2020 10:46 AM

I think you guys are being a tad too hard on these figures. I agree there are issues, largely with the face sculpt, but they aren't terrible and certainly not as bad as some of the Multiverse figures we got from Mattel. Despite defending them however, I'm still going to have to pass unless they really get those head sculpts down. When Hasbro is releasing 20 dollar figures with likenesses rivaling import figures that are triple the price, McFarlane can't afford to lapse. I can see them improving though, and can't wait to see what's up for offer as Toy Fair continues.

Dr Kain 02-21-2020 11:07 AM

Those look awful. Why is WW cosplaying as Spawn's Angela?

Just realized your avatar is George Lowe dressed as Space Ghost at the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie premiere hahahaha

Better

I've been a huge critic of the Mcfarlane figures from the beginning and I still hate the fact that there are no Build A Figures BAFs. But this is a serious improvement on the Mattel versions of these figures. This is definitely a serious upgrade. However, they aren't good enough to stand on their own, meaning there has to be an additional incentive (BAF) to buy every figure in the movie wave or they will sit and collect dust. Investing in a brand new line is expensive and I want to know it isn't going to end after a couple waves. This scares me because this is going to discourage future 6"-7" lines because people only bought . the figures they like instead of investing in the entire wave. I am befuddled as to how arrogant Mcfarlane is to think these figures can stand on their own as individual figures. It's mind boggling. These are better than Mattel for WW figures, but not enough to buy them both without a BAF.

Frankenstein 02-21-2020 04:17 PM

Well, even Hasbro's Marvel Legends sucked at first. Maybe McFarlane will do some halfway decent DC figures in 2025...

DetectiveFork 02-21-2020 06:05 PM

Even if these figures looked a little better, I still can't get past the 7-inch scale. They just don't fit my DC/Marvel collection.

HunterKnight 02-21-2020 09:30 PM

7 inches? PASS. They won't fit with anything I have on my shelf already. Better wait for the SH or Mafex offerings.

redfox 02-21-2020 10:45 PM

I'll probably pass on both of these, but I've got to admit I love the design of the golden eagle costume.

SynthWave 02-22-2020 12:20 AM

Oh no, how dare a toy company make 7 in figures? Won't somebody please think of the collectors.

themadbubbler 02-22-2020 01:13 AM

Oh, cool, just what I've always wanted- some action figures of Jennifer Esposito cosplaying Wonder Woman.

Mattel had some issues (Their Suicide Squad Harley Quinn figures had atrociously bad likenesses.), and these figures aren't ugly, like Mattel's worst offerings, but even Mattel's $9.99 "kid-targeted" Wonder Woman figures from Justice League and Batman Vs. Superman look more like Gal Gadot than these.

So far, this new McFarlane line is all over the place, as it relates to sculpting and scale. Add to that an awkward scale, and not-very-durable McFarlane plastic, and I just haven't been motivated to buy any of these at full price. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying Spin Master's fun Batman and DC 3.75" lines for only 8 bucks a figure.

What is the issue with the plastic?

Look, it's not like there aren't 7-inch toylines. But I think it's fair to say that many of us have sizeable Marvel Legends and DC collections in the six-inch scale, and the McFarlane figures just don't fit. If you're happy starting a new DC collection in the 7-inch scale, all power to you. At least they'll fit in with Marvel Select.
