CasualCollector 05-28-2020 07:59 AM

I'm guessing the unpainted will get the alt/blue deco at some point

These look good and fun

It should, yes. The blue one was what was shown at Toy Fair.

deecee4 05-28-2020 08:11 AM

Thanks to McFalrane people aren't stuck paying exorbitant prices for a space marine figure. Hoping for an assault bike too.

Bo Ttef 05-28-2020 08:36 AM

Can not wait for these to start hitting... time to begin converting his 6in CoD line into Guardsmen!
Todd did mention that his team is going to work on scaling characters better with each other within a line- hopefully this means if he does jump into things like Tau and the guard they'll be properly scaled with the Space Marines...

Augustus10 05-28-2020 09:10 AM

If this is a 7in line. The space marine and nekron should both be closer to 9 or 10in to be scaled correctly.

I don't play Warhammer or read the books or any of that shit, but I've always thought the concepts and designs of the series are awesome, and I love videogames and figures based on the property.

No way I was paying out the ass for that recent Bandai figure, but McFarlane's figure actually looks pretty damn awesome and in may ways comparable to Bandai's in terms of quality.

Not sure how the articulation is overall, but it's nice to see the elbows actually bend at least 90 degrees! After a super-shaky start with the DC stuff, hopefully this means Todd is finally learning what works and what doesn't.

Some bitching, however- the standard marine DOESN'T come with the bolt rifle, and has a red head? I was hoping for an all-blue version w/bolt rifle like what was shown at Toy Fair. Any chance we'll get that at some point?

Also, why does he still insist on using those shitty little circular stands for every figure? I guarantee that the Marine won't even need it.

Those are two different characters. The one with the red helmet is a Sergent. The all blue one will be released. It's the most common of the designs.

up at Walmart now. Pre-order for Sep

Updated the news post with official product details, and more photos.

ddarko 05-28-2020 11:03 AM

Woah, looks soooo good!!!

BUT, where are the Eldar you McFarlane bastards!!!!!?? How could you make Necrons without their age old enemy, the Eldar?

BagJo 05-28-2020 11:55 AM

I never thought I'd see the day that McFarlane Toys took a dump on Bandai Japan, but here we are.

I'm all-in on these.

Ah, cool! Thanks for the info.

Guess I'll be getting both, then!

Jester 05-28-2020 03:42 PM

Gonna be soooooo broke, LOL

Tokyomeltdown 05-28-2020 04:11 PM

Wish they would charge a little more & deliver a better product, looking good in these promo shots, but their Doom figure was garbage so I'll be shocked if these are actually good once in hand.

Foreddyn 05-28-2020 06:49 PM

Congratulations for the army builders! I wonder if McFarlane are allowed to release unpainted versions of the marines or different deco

1morpheo1 05-28-2020 08:07 PM

Oh man!!! It looks crazy. Im not very fan of the new warhammer edition design, Im more in the 2000-2010 designs. But I must admit that the figure looks awesome.

Imagine making your army at 7".....no, imagine making your army at 18" or 20", with Dreadnoughts, Assaults, Bikes, Rhinos.....oh my God!!!!.

Cheers

lordbest 05-28-2020 08:51 PM

So they are making figures from the new 40k cinematic, hopefully that means an Adepta Sororitas will be next:

Definitely getting more interested in this line.

The Sisters seem to be getting quiet a lot of stuff these days. But, I do hope they go Eldar next. I mean, they have a Necron figure now, but no Eldar. That is like having Apocalypse (or sentinels) without the X-men :D

TheActionFigure 05-29-2020 12:11 AM

Does anyone know if Mcfarlane Toys is going to release figures of Warhammer 40k Orks?

Also, will Mcfarlane Toys produce a copious amount of Warhammer 40k Figures or do they plan on discontinuing the line shortly after its launch?

I hope that this Warhammer 40k Figure line continues for years to come.

Thank you.

littlewolvie 05-29-2020 05:05 AM

Great! And this being McFarlane, you know that international distribution will be no issue either (some others can learn from that). They will also be affordable, unlike that recent abomination from Bandai.

I've been begging GamesWorkshop for action figures for years. So, about time I would say. I would personally have preferred 4-inch figures, as it would offer more opportunities for vehicles, playsets etc... and interaction with other military based toy lines. But I'm already very happy to get something! :D

Stranger 05-29-2020 07:59 AM

Wicked! Been waiting forever for this. I want a custom Space Wolves squad!
