The Lamest Group of Heroes ever assembled.

I've only heard of Badger.

E-Man but no Keletor? Or An-At-Arms? Or Eela?

I'm glad these types of things are around, but not being familiar at all with whatever properties they're from and then also being extremely simple figures doesn't give me much interest in them.

They are supposed to be Golden Age heroes that are in the public domain and they are supposed to look like vintage action figures. I think it's fun to collect. Some of the designs are really cool. It's also refreshi g to collect something that is not Marvel, DC, TMNT and so on. It's a small company.

Mr. Monster and Badger are from the 80s and are definitely not public domain. There seems to be a small niche following for these retro characters on the Secret Wars buck. So sure why not, something for everyone out there...I just wish they chose more inspired properties.

They started with Golden Age, and then started to work with independent creators to bring their figures to the line.

E-Man is like a crazed Paul Reiser staring into my soul.

They are done Mattel Secret Wars style, which really was the only toy line ever done that style at that scale. I do have some nostalgia for that series, even if it sucked due quality (notorious for paint apps rubbing off instantly).

But how do Golden Age heroes (along with Badger created in 1983) and a style that appeals to former 80's kids mesh? I mean, if it works anyone, good for them. (But where the ladies at?)

My first line was a reference to Super Friends's "The most powerful forces of good ever assembled!" and variations of such.

I hate these guys to be honest. Their designs, the simplistic figures, the z list nobody characters, and those frightening headsculpts. no thank you.

Artistix 07-15-2020 05:40 PM

Wave 5 & still no women?

Black Arbor 07-15-2020 05:59 PM

I'm honestly amazed there's 5 waves of these guys. They're okay for what they are but I never would've guessed there's a big fanbase for them...

OriginalFire 07-15-2020 09:50 PM

I didn't know this line had so much hate, I enjoy it.The independent characters don't really belong I guess.
