Another amazing piece by them but man, you must really love the anime/manga to be splashing this much.

^That's a given, no doubt.

With that said, this price tag is consistent with larger (this thing is pretty enormous and has options for displaying) high-end pop-culture/fantasy/superhero statues. Visit many LCS's and you could easily see a few Iron Studios, Prime 1, XM Studios, and even some Bowen Designs fetching comparable rates. I think Iron Studios: Xmen vs Sentinel statue is around $1700, stands at roughly the same height, and doesn't feature led lighting - however, to be fair, it's more of a diorama than a single statue; that thing is a beast.

In any event, these items are rightfully considered fine art and even appreciate in value over time. And in an effort to not gloss over the validity of your point: while I consider myself an inveterate Berserk fan, there are many other things I'd drop a G and change on before this. But that doesn't make this Skull Knight any less of a marvel.
