Fury Files Human Torch Marvel Classics 2009

This one goes on the buy list for sure. The Human Torch is made up of clear plastic with well placed paint apps giving off the great effect of fire. He only comes with one flame accessory (should be 2) I stole the other one from the Series 011 Torch for effect. The articulation is above average even for this line and as you can see the flame accessory really adds to the figure's over all appeal and style. I would rate this guy 8 out of 10 and would welcome more clear figures in the future if they are given this level of detail.

This variant is awesome, clear variants FTW! I don't like the character all that much but I must admit, there have been some great Human Torch figures this past year.

I hope Hasbro uses this formula to give us Iceman. Clear figures rule!

100% agree bring on the IceMan!

Make one Painted white with blue highlights the other Ice-clear with blue paints apps. And lets hope he comes with Ice Blast accessory's and sled.

Now see, I generally detest clear figs. Especially for characters that aren't clear as it's just a waste of plastic since you're not getting the character advertised and because clear plastic lets all the fugly interior engineering show thru which confounds the beauty of the exterior sculpting. It's similar to why I hate chrome bits as well, since the reflections confound the sculpting.

This fig looks more like X-Ray from the U-Foes than Johnny Storm, imho.

That and a head sculpt with the mouth covered up based on the Joe Madureira design with ice spikes/armor on the body! THAT ONE RULED!

To me an opaque Human Torch would be boring though. Toybiz made opaque Human Torches way back during mid 90's toylines, and they look boring compared to the clear ones, in my opinion. It is like the recent BAF Ares wave Human Torches, I prefer the Nova Flame version, it looks neat with all the varied hues of red and orange.

Only thing I don't like is that the hands and feet end up looking like socks and gloves! Totally weird haha, but it's cool otherwise

I too would dig a Madureira Iceman, good idea Shin, or maybe even the slightly blockier one from John Romita, Jr's 93-94 run on Uncanny:

Ah when Bobby was young and life's mutant powers didn't complicate his life as they have recently. That would make a nice figure. Not sure about the Human Torch, though I'm not a big FF fan these days.
