I legit thought this was the MAFEX figure when I saw the first few pics.

Something about the proportions and joints makes me feel more confident in this. I'm not as worried this will break as the MAFEX.

Granted, I think the MAFEX will be ok, but on first glance this one has proportions that put me at ease for the price tag.

We are waiting on Hasbro to confirm that the ML will have alternate parts or a full costume later, of course. But the accessories help put this over the top.

It's likely, yeah. they've been carrying their other Marvel items in the past.

This looks very interesting. I have a few of their Iron Man versions. My experience with them in terms of QC and joints isn't as bad or heartbreaking as I've had with Mafex but I'm liking this a bit more. But I'll be a bit more patient and wait on the reviews but with the overall accessories, detail, and the price, am very tempted and interested to see what else they have for the future.

Intersting... I have the MAFEX on pre-order (for about 10 years now I think?) but I am a little concerned about the use of soft goods. This might be worth a punt.

For ¥10,000 and shipping+import tax they can stuff that price down their own throats, no matter how much I like the figure.

Very nice looking and I'm all for competition. Part of me thinks the price is because you're almost getting two figures out of it. The jacket, pants, and sneakers are almost 3/4 of a figure. Plus if I'm looking at the pictures, it looks like a slamming diorama stand.

But where I will keep my Mafex order in place is because of those hard goods. In posing the figure, he will be limited by that hood in place, and his jacket will forever look like it's flapping in the breeze. It just doesn't sit in any poses other than the action from the movie shots.

Will it still look good? Oh yeah. But I'm gonna sit pat.

That's kind of an odd way for them to put it, wouldn't they just be the exclusive retailer?

It's debatable what will pose better: soft goods or hard goods. I used to be big into 1/6 and even in 1/6, soft clothing ALWAYS restrict movements and posing. The same criticism can be said for soft goods: his soft jacket will always look like it's just hanging on him and will never look dynamic, his soft shorts will restrict his movement from doing crouching and other Spider-Man type of posing. Notice all of Mafex's pictures of him doing dynamic posing is him WITHOUT the soft goods. On top of that, at this scale the material used on the soft good will look thick, as can bee seen in Mafex's pictures as well. So it's a give or take.

I know I'm late to the thread (lurker) but I went out my way to create an account to discuss the following: Sentinel is our best bet for a decent Peni Parker from ITSV. Hear me out.

We've got Miles (plus more) in this new SV action line however, Sentinel also has their 4-inch-nel line, which is 1/18 scale figures. If Peni was made, whether in the 4-inch-nel line or using parts from it, this puts her at a near perfect height for the SV action 6 inch line.

Ever since miles was announced this thought has been eating me up and it's reached a point where I had to share it! It also helps sentinel has experience with mechas, hopefully we will get SP//DR from them as well!
