I don't understand the point of announcing something like this 18+ months in advance.

they're porbably making it to order, so people pre-order it then they make it on the number of pre-orders

I don't think they do made to order, as there's usually additional stock available during the release window.

The waiting period for preorders is getting insane.

Is it fair to say that all the diecast reissues are taller than the originals?

This is a very good tactic.
You know, not everyone has 400$
right on Instant.

Giving people that much time
from start of pre Order to Release, they have
time to save that Money.

For Example, I am glad that
Hot Toys Venom will be Released
in Late Mid 2022.

I do not have 400$ right now.
But I will have the Money ready in 2022.

If they would announce something right away, and then
say "Release is next Month", I would be like
"Noooooo, Nooo, I do not get that Sum so fast,
I need more Time"

So you see: Time between Pre Order and
Release 1 Year later = Perfect
