Which is which? Optimus Prime gun puzzle!

I have two Optimus Prime black guns, one that I bought thinking it was the same as the one I have for my 1987 O.P. It is a bit different on the barrel end and on the stock, and the seller said it was a 1988 O.P. Now I’ve forgotten which is which. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!
