F**k yes!!! Kung Lao looks amazing. Hilarious that he comes with an accessory for his Friendship.

Finally a new character. When I was a kid this guy wasn't very popular but perhaps he is more popular than I thought.

Looks pretty great, I don't quite think the headsculpt really captures the MK2 look, I'm fine with that though, the hat makes up for that like with Raiden. Friendship including is great!

This Kung Lao doesn't really look Asian though, and he is a little too jacked up too.

i was excited when i saw that its announced, but i dont think ill be getting it, i think the hat should be bigger and somehow bolder, its his only weapon and somehow i dont think its perfect... not even perfect just not worth 75 bucks

The Actor who was Kung Lao in the digital capture games, Anthony Marquez, is Filipino, and looks similar to the Storm Collectibles figure (the storm collectibles version is slightly more “anime” than realistic, like everything from Storm Collectibles.)

Kung Lao never looked Chinese in the games, but I don’t think it was ever stated he was ethnically Chinese. Just a White Lotus Monk. As far as we know, the Great Kung Lao, during his period of non-aging between tournaments went around Asia to sow his wild oats, and visited a nice Filipino girl, who later had a kid, and 9 generations later, his decendants look more Filipino than Chinese. Also, in some backgrounds, Liu Kang also shares some lineage with the Great Kung Lao, making him and the current Kung Lao distant cousins.

The head/hair/face seems a little off compared to the in game model for MK2
