I swear to god, mcfarlane is a marketing genius. Only he can get me to buy the same mold 3 times.

This is the way Mcfarlane.

Outside improving articulation - Which by the way I love that this thing just uses ball joints for the legs and not the Mcfarlane joint. He needs to stop using that.

Outside of that, this is a way to resell the same body but no one feels ripped off. You get all the accessories+, improved paint apps, and there are some new parts I feel make this a new figure.

So it's different than the one clogging target shelves?

Okay. The original looks great but that's definitely an improvement.

I don't get the need for this or the price point of this figure. for one the first figure is literally everywhere and no one seems to care about it. I love the figure and bought it as I buy everything spawn. but I would even say there is no need for this.

also why is the figure more than double the price? the extra weapons don't add up to a whole extra figure. and even if they did they still want to charge $5 more than two figures would cost. just makes no sense. ill wait for clearance cause no way does this thing sell at $45.

Keep in mind that the $45 is GameStop's price. They usually charge at least $5 over everywhere else. I agree, though, even at $40, it's a stretch. Added accessories, a lot more paint apps, and a poster...I think $35 would be a lot more palatable, but I don't know the production costs involved for the tooling of the head and the weapons. I know he has said they've had to not go crazy with paint on the regular retail figures to keep at the store's desired price point, so just the paint alone must really bump it up.

Anyway, I'll most likely get this if/ when it gets to other retailers.

McFarlane is the master of slight retools and repaints and then selling them as whole new figures at full price or mark-ups.

Apparently it works and people eat these up. But man, seeing this, nobody will want those ones rotting in Target when they could get this superior version.
