Holy hell that price, though.

Freekazoo 05-21-2021 10:25 AM

Is it me or have the sculpts gotten significantly softer in the recent Legends reveals? The overall look of Monger is good, but there is a major lack of sharpness on the texture and edges.

UFOTECH 05-21-2021 10:31 AM

That Iron Monger is huge

As opposed to? This isn't 2 legends in a pack. Iron monger is 3 to 4 times the size of a standard figure

emeraldnite 05-21-2021 10:39 AM

Not sure if this was on purpose or not--but this made me want the Mark 3 Iron Man figure when I previously did not want it at all. If it was intentional...well played, Hasbro.

cjflan32 05-21-2021 10:50 AM

Don't collect MCU but I'm sure it's nice for MCU fans to have all these holes being patched up.

He looks like he's only twice the size of Stane, though. Picture I guess doesn't do it justice.

Nimrod 05-21-2021 11:43 AM

Very nice. Don't collect MCU, but very nice set. That Stane buck will be very useful for civ figures.

I think you should take a closer look at the photos. Maybe on a desktop computer. Because these sculpts are fantastic. Iron Monger is covered in a fittingly rougher almost "ironlike" texture. And Stane's head sculpt is dead on.

That spent casing effect piece is GREAT!

Monger is not just taller but wider. The amount of plastic of just 2 standard Marvel Legends is not comparable. It's closer to 3 or 4.

mort 05-21-2021 12:44 PM

I guess the 2008 Hulk will never be revisited.

Weapon X 05-21-2021 03:38 PM

Not really liking that Obadiah figure, but I kind of want the Iron Monger

GizmoTron 05-21-2021 03:43 PM

Great, now I have to buy that Mark III figure.

Colossus Prime 05-21-2021 06:04 PM

*crosses "BAF sized Iron Monger" off his literal want list*

C'mon AoU and/or CW Hawkeye!

Ventus 05-21-2021 06:40 PM

Okay, Now Hasbro, do the same with Whiplash!!!
I want an Half Suit Whiplash (Highway Race) and an Full Armored Whiplash!!

I still do not understand why not even
S.H. Figuarts made any Whiplash Figures.

I'm a little bummed they didn't out the Abomination in this Saga wave.

Apparently he'll be returning in the She-Hulk series so maybe there's a chance he'll be the BAF of a future Disney+ wave. I hope they tweak his design a little though, at least give him the classic fin ears.

0reser0 05-21-2021 10:25 PM

About time an MCU Iron Monger was made. Those Iron Man armors are getting duller already.

autoboty 05-21-2021 10:45 PM

So... can Stane pilot the armor, or...?

If he could they'd have advertised it as such. Even in the movie it's pretty obvious that Stane wouldn't really fit in the suit given his torso's confirmed position, either he would have to have sawed his own legs off or The Dude is extremely flexible. From a film perspective it was definitely something that was done because it looked cool to have Iron Man face off with this larger doppelganger and not because it made anatomical sense.

Yes, pretty similar to the Hulkbuster situation. Anyway, they still look cool.

Which is a shame because the Cull Obsidian BAF would be a great base for him.

Yeah, the majority of the giant-oversized 'exo-suits' (this one, the Hulk-Buster, Lex Luthor's, etc.) make no sense. Unless one is a quadruple amputee, there's no way a human head would line up with the suit's helmet, while also aligning with the placement of extremities.

Whenever people talk about how cool these suits are without considering proportional arm and leg length in relation to head placement, I chuckle and roll my eyes. The only things that make sense are the giant mechs popularized in manga and anime due to their sheer enormity.

Need a Hulkbuster with alternate Hulk head! Can’t believe we didn’t get that in this wave.
