That Homelander looks good, but I think I'll stick with Mafex's, given the evil expression it has. This one really needs an evil asshole face.

Joe's review was right-on and very honest overall, but I have to disagree on one thing: the Homelander figure's likeness isn't even close to actor Anthony Starr. I mean seriously, come on.

Yeah I'm going with Mafex as well. They'll be too different in size though for me to use this Starlight.

The second head sculpt, which I specifically refer to, is the one I said was spot on. And it's a pretty solid likeness to Homelander.

With the right lighting hiding those terribly cartoon looking eyes the sculpt looks better.

Looks more "like the actor" than McFarlane can do, that's for sure, so there is that.

The one headsculpt is pretty good, I want him and will be keeping that one on him most of the time. Bizarre that all three have such similar expressions. Neutral, neutral with laser eyes, and ever so slightly amused? An angry head would have much been preferred to the cartoony eyes smirk head.

It's definitely better, I'll give you that. But we'll have to agree to disagree on "spot on."

Hopefully, these won't cost too much as I only want Homelander for his laser eye FX, will be selling off the fig on evilbay. Pretty pathetic how Mattel/Hasbro refuse to give laser eye FX to characters that have that specific power like Superman/Gladiator/Hyperion & Vision.
