I was excited until I saw Walmart exclusive. I never even saw a single figure from their last exclusive assortment, the battle for Mandalore wave.

I think they mostly ended up in Canada. That wave got refreshed like, four times at my local Walmart.

Jealous that TVC is getting the good ones, this is the superior Clone Wars.

We're seeing a lot of non-canon EU stuff lately. Couldn't imagine why...

If I had to guess it'll be a repaint of the previous figure but in all white and silver instead of the bone-like color from the movie. So then the cape would also be white instead of dark grey and red.

Glad there's another chance to get a VC Aayla. The previous one is damn near impossible to get.

Ugly sculpts with fresh decos, wow! Tartakovsky's Clone Wars deserves better than this.

Great thing I own all of these. The nostalgic cardboard is not enough for me. Cardboard belongs in the trash.

Highly possible, but since design of the general is quite different between 2003 and movie, I'm thinking it could be a new mold.

A new mold is possible and I'd be interested to see it done but as a Walmart exclusive I'm skeptical that Hasbro would put that much effort into it, we'll see what happens.

Oh, I didn't buy any. I haven't bought an exclusive in over a year. Never again for me. It takes a fun hobby and adds needless stress (e.g. "oh damn, I have to be up at 6AM mashing refresh to get a piece of plastic I'd like to have."). Nah, that's not what this hobby is about for me, thank you.

I admire a person of conviction, I say that with sincerity. It personally doesn't bother me but I know many feel the same way you do but won't put their foot down because the "need" toys.

Same. I did not nor will I buy these. If I see them in store, I may pick up the 3 black series. I have the 6 vintage already. I do not buy on eBay ever, and with the new federal tax rules for next year, eBay will be dead. I’m not even going to bother playing Neca’s game later.

I guess eBay and the feds agreed anyone that sells over $600 gets a tax form and reported to the IRS so it must now be claimed as income.

Gotcha. I could see where that would impact some people or at the very least stop make them pay taxes on money they otherwise avoided taxes on. I doubt this will honestly stop much high end scalping. It might have a small impact on $20 figure scalping but I doubt it.

It's not going to have any impact. The Boogeyman ERRR scalper is just going to raise the price of the thing you're already complaining about.

On top of that, you're supposed to report your online earnings anyway, whether it be $20 or $200,000. It's income. The threshold to get a physical 1099-K is currently at $20,000 and 200 transactions, they're just lowering it.

By the way, not every person selling things on eBay is a scalper. Most are just selling things for various personal reasons. Stop villifying people just because you can't find your toys.

You really think everyone claims what they sell? I have a bridge to sell you. eBay will be dead next year. I also didn’t say I’m happy about it. I use to buy a ton on there. I collect trading cards and it’s not easy to find them anywhere else.

This seems to have been in the pipeline for some time. I don’t think anyone really gets the blame. There will be a lot less sellers on eBay though, come next year. Many move to Facebook groups but I hate social media and have no interest in joining groups and trusting my money to people I’ve never met.

Any back on topic. I guess some of these popped up again in the afternoon.

These don’t even ship until March or April. A long time for these to maybe show up in store.
