Hasbro Livestream 8/26/21 – No Way Home, Eternals, Troop Builders, Excalibur & More

Cool, I can see Silver Surfer being unlocked no problem, seeing as we already got Frankie Raye Nova. I wonder what the final unlock is, or was gonna be. I'm curious if that's still possible.

ARK72Wayne 08-26-2021 08:58 AM

The Silver Surfer is amazing! Definitely to me is the definitive version of the character. I hope it gets unlocked. Galactus + Nova + Silver Surfer = Cosmic Perfection

IzzyTipsy 08-26-2021 09:03 AM

Of course Shadowcat and Meggan are online exclusives in a 3 pack.

Honestly not feeling that No Way Home Wave. Not a single of the movie villains in it despite us already knowing Ock is in it?

TheBlueMarvel 08-26-2021 09:08 AM

A strong showing all around. I'm looking forward to almost all of these wares with the exception of the No Way Home movie figs. The Eternals came out looking significantly better than I'd anticipated and, while I intended to nab them anyway in an effort to encourage Hasbro to make comic canon figs via sell-through interest at retail, I'm actually excited to own these.

Why wouldn't they be? Meggan is a member of the 90's X-Men D-Squad (E if you separate Blue and Gold), the fact that they even considered wasting plastic on a prototype for this character is a small miracle.

BoosterGold 08-26-2021 09:11 AM

I’ll get a few of the no way home figures. Might go after the Excalibur pack too. The rest just aren’t doing it for me, not an MCU guy, but it’s awesome for those who are.

Mr Lawless 08-26-2021 09:13 AM

Do they no longer bother painting webbing on Spidey?

protostar8 08-26-2021 09:16 AM

17000 is greedy. Pure greed. Should have been 16000 for surfer.

Dolemite 08-26-2021 09:17 AM

I'm actually pretty excited about that SHIELD agent two-pack because the original Nick Fury figure is incredibly floppy and I'm sure this one will be a big improvement in that regard. Cheaper, too.

Otherwise, not a lot of the reveals today really grabbed me. JJJ is an absolute must+buy, of course, and there are a few other figures that I'm intrigued by, but I'll want to see in-hand pictures of them first before I make up my mind.

However, the entire Eternals wave is 'eh' and will probably pegwarm hard.

Ninjinister 08-26-2021 09:20 AM

Do those mask sets even sell?

ShabbyBlue 08-26-2021 09:23 AM

Wish they'd do some figures from the Agents of SHIELD tv series and not just comic based generic troopers. I'd love a Ming Na Wen Agent May figure to go with the Phil Coulson they released a few years ago, and a Daisy figure too.

Still technically a spoiler, especially what his actual appearance is. Same as all of the villains.

This is basically a Far From Home preview wave that also finally knocks out some in demand Spider-Man characters Morlun and Shriek as well as Gamerverse Miles. And also it builds Armadillo cause sure.

The next Spider-Man wave will likely be a full out Far From Home "bring on the bad guys" wave.

D-listers never ever are released individually at retail?

Not that I'm against filling out teams with multi-packs, I actually prefer to get these guys all at once rather than wait out months and sometimes even years to complete teams, but these packs don't exist because Hasbro is somehow against lesser known characters taking up space in waves (sometimes even as the BAF).

It won't matter. They have the 16000 now after jumping over 2000 buys in the last 48 hours. We'll get 17000 by the weekend.

I just wish they'd rerelease Phil because I missed out on him.

Did anyone try out that dynamic flight stand they showed. Think he said came with the white suit Black Widow? Was it any good if you did. Surprised they havent released a decebt stand considering the amount of flight characters.

Supposedly that No Way Home trailer was only supposed to premiere at Cinema Con and then be released theatrically a bit later - presumably with Shang-Chi - but Sony decided to show it to the public and Cinema Con's audience simultaneously after the leak.

I would bet not even Hasbro knew which villains would be in the movie so they could only base the lineup on whatever preproduction art Sony was willing to share

It'd be nice though to know the next level. There's only 4 days left.

I have it, it's fine. Nothing amazing but it holds Widow up well enough. The holes for the blast effects is nice, though that's all it has over generic stands you can buy from most places.

True, bit they're averaging around 1000 a day right now. We might even see Surfer unlocked by tonight.

I mean, we keep getting D-listers in single boxes like that Frog dude, Brother Voodoo, Nico Minoru, etc.

emeraldnite 08-26-2021 10:18 AM

While the new head sculpt for Surfer is a welcome improvement over the Walgreens one, I was really hoping for a chrome paint job as well (or even a cell shaded Kirby paint job). The stand in Galactus' hand will make for an incredible display piece, though! Fingers crossed that tier gets met in the end as well.

ThorOdinson123 08-26-2021 10:51 AM

That Doctor Strange is the only thing that interests me. I like the new effect pieces and that one of his hands isn't stuck with the green time stone effect anymore like the IW figure is

Venzhe 08-26-2021 11:17 AM

I am pleasantly surprised that they aren’t forcing sale of another Nightcrawler in the Excalibur pack. More excited for this one than the X-force 3 pack.

Could you list the 90's X-men teams in order of importance/popularity? Genuinely curious as someone who is a more casual marvel fan who bought some comics in the 90ties but as a kid if I had to choose between spending what little money I had on comics or video games... video games won 100% of the time.

emeraldnite 08-26-2021 12:46 PM

I just realized how crazy close we are to being able to recreate this poster in Marvel Legend figures!
