This looks amazing--but with Galactus just ending I don't think I can afford any more large figure buys. Also with only 10 points of articulation it seems like this may be more statuesque and I prefer poseability in my figures.

Comedian 09-16-2021 02:16 PM

This is basically a roto cast figure with lights correct?

My Jakks Godzilla is 2 feet tall and 3 and half feet long. That was $50.

This feels over priced by about $350.

Smasher 09-16-2021 02:22 PM

I'm not sure where I'll put him, but I look forward to figuring it out.

VashTS 09-16-2021 02:26 PM

Seeing the price points of these things, I do want them, but I Imagine any bad guys they deliver say Monster Zero, it might be twice the price.

I can't imagine Mezco ever doing a King Ghidorah at that scale.

AceSimulacrum 09-16-2021 03:33 PM

It's a big boy, but really looks like you're paying for the light fin features. Price point is off-putting. Scale it should be a statue-type Hot Toys 1/4 or 1/6 type, limited posing. If this had better paint like some of the Bandai stuff and the light up feature could be worked into the mouth for actual atomic breathe effect then a (weak) maybe. Not a tempting upgrade for any of the 3 Godzillas I have.

Edit: Does have a light up mouth feature but hope it is executed well as I had said. It may just look like Godzilla just bit into a lifesaver, no super light projection. Opinion hasn't changed.

VashTS 09-16-2021 03:41 PM

If they say they will make more to go with him, I will be more inclined.

dukefett 09-16-2021 04:23 PM

Yeah it's too pricey for me. I don't know why this is $200 more than Kong. Since Kong came out shipping/pricing has gone crazy, but not almost double the price crazy.

Dr Kain 09-16-2021 04:28 PM

It's cool, but I'll pass since it's just another Heisei figure. Showa me some love.

Wait, does he not have the same amount of articulation as a MonsterArt? For that price, he should!

Jurassicvania 09-17-2021 06:20 AM

Can anyone explain why does it have inner skeleton armature--as it looks like rigid plastic with basic rotation articulation?

My one critique is the texture work does not seem cohesive or always deep enough. Also is not clear how far down the fins will be luminated

That said, I'm very excited for this release, and -very- much hoping I can set fins to always on and not to time out (so I may use usb batteries)

Nice....
