I so freakin need this.

I bought some ALF DVD's and those episodes are pretty good. Been hunting for ALF merch, but no great figure or doll really exists.

I am all in on ALF...Hahahahaha...

WallySparks 09-22-2021 05:09 PM

I still have my old Alf hand puppet my grandmother got for me from Burger King or McDonalds back then when i was a kid. the one i have has a rock and roll shirt and a headband

Boogieman4hire 09-22-2021 05:23 PM

This is a really awesome thing. So out of left field. I remember a year or two ago someone on like ebay or something was selling a 3d printed add on kit for a Star wars black series ewok to turn it into Alf and I was seriously considering it. This is much better though. I know my mom will get a kick out of it. She loves Alf. It sort of makes me wish I bought those retro cloth Golden Girls just for that strange crossover that never happened. Maybe even throw in Bob Ross.

Harbinger 09-22-2021 05:28 PM

YES YES SO MUCH YES! Cannot wait to get old gordon shumway.

HunterKnight 09-22-2021 06:01 PM

Yup. Dear god yes.

Road Pig 09-22-2021 07:19 PM

If he's about the size of Chucky, I'm in. If he's tall like the Gremlin line, I'll pass.

ShabbyBlue 09-22-2021 09:01 PM

NECA should include some ALF pogs with him as a nod to the Simpsons

Atomsmasher 09-22-2021 09:19 PM

I'm in for this.

Synth 09-23-2021 01:16 AM

ALF! Really cool! :thumbs
Totally unexpected. This would be the first action figure of ALF I believe.
I own a PVC figurine and my childhood plush.
He'll display great with ET and Gizmo.
A must have for me!

JerpJerp 09-23-2021 02:45 AM

I declare.....PRE-ORDERRRRRR!!!!

classicaaron 09-23-2021 04:34 AM

wow, just amazing. never thought this would be something they would tackle but i cant wait to buy this.

dukefett 09-23-2021 06:35 AM

Yeah this is crazy and fun, will pick up for sure.

SuperWeird 09-23-2021 07:37 AM

Perfect!

Cyclopswc 09-23-2021 10:11 AM

I'm going to buy this, because this will be a collector's item once PETA sees this, the "cat sandwich" accessory will not be included in all future "Ultimate ALF", "ALF with 10 heads", "ALF with one extra accessory" editions that NECA will make.

80sforged 09-23-2021 11:49 AM

Will go if he is scaled properly. I am thinking around the size of or a little shorter than Ophelia from 'Pan's Labyrinth' would work for me.

AceSimulacrum 09-23-2021 02:28 PM

Very keen on this. Share the concern with the scaling so would be interested to see, think 4-4.5" will be good for 1/10 (7-8" scale). Obviously the smaller makes it more challenging.

That being said, it looks very good and oddly enough the way they've been picking up certain IPs. I wonder if they'd take a shot at TV series like Different Strokes, All in the Family, Jeffersons, Family Matters, Saved by the Bell just to name a few. (Though I probably will only get the 1 or 2 characters I liked. Not sure if its been said, but NECA has been doing a bunch of figures from NBC shows.

If they did 'all in the Family', the Jeffersons, or the entire 'Norman Lear Expanded Universe' I would prefer they stick with the 8" Cloth ones. Being late 60's to early 80's properties make me think MEGO is the appropriate scale. Also throw Diff'rent Strokes into that one too. Family Matters can go 7" or perhaps do a 'Toon version or something. Maybe a retro style 5 P.o.A. figures.

RamenRider 09-24-2021 01:00 AM

Great stuff. Alf is like the unsung hero of my childhood - I loved watching the show when I catched it while changing channels, but never sought it out. It was always there, and I could always enjoy it. Whenever I hear the music or the voices in the background while doing something else nowadays, I have to go watch it.

Watched some clips of it yesterday and damn this show still gets genuine laughs out of me. Not many things can.

Bottom line: I want this. Not to keen on NECA QC (or the lack thereof) but if I need to give any figure a warm water bath after opening it, doing it to Alf sounds almost fun.

Ninjinister 09-26-2021 02:41 AM

ALF and TMNT were my favorite things ever as a lad, so I definitely need to get this.

I'm also echoing what others are saying about the show still holding up for the most part. A lot of jokes flew over my head on first run (not necessarily like... adult ones, just things I didn't get) and it was worth re-watching to catch some of that.

Dragasses 09-26-2021 07:14 AM

anyone interested in alf should check out permanent midnight. a wild ride.

Well the Burger King puppets are a thing. I wish I still had mine. I remember the boulabaseball gimmick on the back of the meal box.

I'm sure you have your reasons but I'm curious what they are.
