Aw, he’s so cute.

This one feels like a dud. There is very little sense of ferociousness and he looks more like a baby.

Articulation and character indifference aside, I think this is very appealing to the eye. The detail of the sculpt is accentuated by the paint and its pearlescent luster in a way that keeps me looking at the photos. Are the proportions weird? Sure, but one of the most consistent aspects for Venom throughout the years has been the inconsistency in both his size and proportionality. Sometimes changing from panel to panel within the same book, all by design in what I always assumed was an effort to demonstrate the mutable and organic nature of the symbiote.

I'm also a sucker for glow-in-the-dark features as a kid of the 80's.
