If only Hasbro had the license to make Star Trek figures. Think of all the potential reuse Hasbro! No one would get mad!

I really hope people are buying these.

I'm hoping that Seven or Jadzia get made.

Playmates Toys literally just announced they had acquired the licence. While Playmates have been a little hit and miss with some of their recent fare, I have faith in the upcoming Trek line. CBS likely want a line that can compete with the Star Wars toy line's, and CBS are known to be fairly exacting on companies that hold licences for them.

The renders - which were obscured with 'transporter effects' as part of the initial announcement look promising, provided their either a 3.75" or 4" line. Given they appear to be single ball joints, as opposed to double jointed, at the elbow and knee I'd think they'd be lacking in POA for a 6" line.

After doing some research, it looks like people think it's bearded Spock. Oh well.

I'm encouraged by the decent Nimoy sculpt, perceived hint of lipstick notwithstanding, but I wonder why they would choose this particular screen appearance for production.
