Is this a vintage Scooby Doo toy?
 

I used to own this and was looking to buy it again, but realized I didn't actually know what this went to. I would estimate it's from the mid-to-late 80's or earlier. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't recall the name of the toy or the company who made it but I believe this guy rode on a purple "ripcord" motorcycle trike and I think you're spot on for the time period. I had one as a kid and I think I played "Ghost Rider" with it when I got ahold of a lighter.

Hasbro's Scream'n Demons are what your are thinking of.

From what I can tell, that rider pictured isn't one of them.
