Online education: pros and cons

Hi there, guys!
Due to pandemic restrictions online education is gaining more and more popularity nowadays but do you think that someday it will eventually replace classical education? I mean that kids won't have to go to regular schools and will be able to get full education at home? Can that happen? What do you think?
My take on the topic is that online education at present is much much worse than classical one at regular schools when kids can see their teachers and classmates face-to-face. And I am not sure that future technologies will make it possible to get the same level of knowledge at home that you get in class.

I’m not a big fan of virtual education. There’s some things that just can’t be substituted for in person education. Do I think it will eventually go full virtual? No. There’s plenty of parents who could not afford to do that and there’s too much that kids miss out on through virtual learning. Even home schooled kids get socialization through home school programs that allow interaction with other home school kids.

My thought is part of an education is learning to socialize, make friends, and public behaviour amongst other things. All those are hard to accomplish online. Although glad kids don't completely miss out on learning while stuck at home because of Proctoredu which makes it impossible to cheat at tests. Much better than just sending some assignments home and saying here you go.

Hey! I totally get what you’re saying about online education. It’s becoming a big thing now, huh? But I reckon there's still a lot missing compared to the real deal—sitting in a classroom. I mean, it's cool that we can learn from home and all, but it doesn’t quite match up to being there in person, seeing your friends, and all that. Not sure if tech can ever bridge that gap fully. What do you think? Ever feel like something’s missing when you’re just staring at a screen?
