In, I hope this leads to more from good bad ugly... The baddie s are needed.

Wish more of the sixth scale companies were more open.

ShabbyBlue 02-25-2022 07:41 AM

Wow, I never thought anyone would secure Eastwood's likeness rights to do figures of him. I wonder if NECA might pursue doing 6" scale figures.

Also loving that this is categorized as part of a "Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection", with a tease of a Dirty Harry figure in one of the photos too. I hope this means we might also get a Josey Wales figure.

MeLikeJinx 02-25-2022 07:45 AM

I hope they do a Paul Newman one some day... Paul Newman was the best.

A Paul Newman Butch Cassidey and Robert Redford Sundance Kid would be amazing to have.

I love that it comes with the rock from The Good The Bad and The Ugly. :)

Yeah, that's cool.

I seriously doubt it. The Outlaw Josey Wales was a cool movie, but the character's not as iconic as The Man With No Name or Dirty Harry.

I think many fans of that film would strongly disagree. It's his next best western role after Blondie in my opinion. And if Sideshow is hyping this up as a "collection" of Eastwood figures, then it would be odd to just stop with Blondie and Dirty Harry. What else are they going to do? Maybe his rugged old gunfighter from Unforgiven since it was his Oscar winning film? I don't think we'll be seeing an Every Which Way But Loose Eastwood. Or ancient Eastwood from Gran Torino with his "get off my lawn" sneer? :) Josey Wales is his coolest ACTION-oriented western role after Blondie (keyword being action)... more so than his other similar roles in Unforgiven, Pale Rider, etc.

Kudos to Sideshow. This looks very good.

The lack of cast iron plate a.k.a. bulletproof vest accessory is a major missed opportunity

DESTRO 02-25-2022 07:29 PM

If I had the extra cash I would buy this.

ghostbogey 02-26-2022 02:41 AM

You got to have "The Ugly"!!!!!

Eli Wallach was the "Movie" IMHO...
(so sorry Eastwood and Cleef)

The Original "Tuco"!!!(back off Breaking Bad)

I misread that as 'Blondie and Debbie Harry' for obvious reasons and now I'm off to google if anyone's done a Debbie Harry figure for my small display of musician figures lol

It's not just your opinion, it's practically an objective truth that Tuco is really the lead. He gets the lion's share of actual character and drives the story. Blondie ultimately fills the "hero" role but throughout most of the story he's so stoic and largely driven by greed (less so than the others but still his objective is the gold) that Tuco hogs the spotlight for being more expressive and having more of his past open to the audience.

Have to agree there. Also, even though I understand why they did it, I'd have liked a slightly more dirty/weathered look overall, especially clothing. I'd be more interested in this if it was in the scale I go for...but yeah, if this came out about 10-12 years ago I'd probably would have gotten this iconic representation of Eastwood.
