That's pretty bad IMO... ugly facesculpt... overlong tosro... single jointed elbows and unsightly ball upper thigh joints that everyone else stopped using a decade ago.

I think it's a reprint with new paint of the 2007 release, so that explains the old tech.

Yikes, that does not look good.

"Oh man, people are hopping on the Moon Knight train because of his new show so let's lazily repaint a 15 year old toy to sell them!"
-DST, apparently

Harbinger 03-30-2022 06:17 PM

Why did they reuse that gawdawful 2007 body?

AND not include the Konshu statue- the only thing that would make buying this old toy worthwhile

Hasbro 03-30-2022 07:10 PM

it's time we stop letting DST make action figures

As someone who started collection 6" Marvel figures way after this was initially released:

What in the F is this abomination?

T0ySick 03-30-2022 08:25 PM

I never got the 1st one becuase it was terrible looking and now they go and reissue it with a crap paint deco.

icematta 03-30-2022 08:28 PM

OMG, DST are really something, eons since I got one of their figures, and apparently that trend is going long....

IzzyTipsy 03-31-2022 01:19 AM

I guess this lazy repaint is all Disney could muster for having something on the shelves for Moonknight?

VashTS 03-31-2022 03:03 AM

The rerelease is missing the statue and offers nothing new.
I am a DST fan, but what a bad release. I get it, cheap cash in or rather cash out, but expect a lot of earned negativity for DST.

Did you not know?.....
There doing a "BAF" for that....

"Konshu Statue" in 5 parts ;^)

deecee4 03-31-2022 05:13 AM

They shouldve just retooled the comic style Black Panther figure from a few years back. Would've looked a lot better than this.

IzzyTipsy 03-31-2022 06:21 AM

At least include an Oscar Isaac head?

They would have just butchered it. Probably will look like Van Damme instead.

Dolemite 03-31-2022 09:44 AM

Possibly the laziest piece of shit I've ever seen a company churn out. Most companies would be embarrassed to repaint a 15 year-old figure that looked like hot garbage even when it was first released, but apparently not DST.

This. I liked the comic Taskmaster they made recently, but most of their action figure output is pure trash. Minimates aside (which they barely even make anymore), I really don't understand how they're still in business.

juggernaut209 03-31-2022 11:01 AM

What a great way to demonstrate how far toys have come in 15 years.

Harbinger 03-31-2022 11:06 AM

I will say i like diamonds avenging hawkeye fig & lucy westinra figs.

Not at all. I'd agree that their early stuff is trash. But theyve been getting better each year. And their last year or so of releases have been incredibly strong....rampaging/immortal Hulk is probably the best comic Hulk figure produced so far. Their giving us huge, great looking 9-inch figures and in some cases, figures with import-level of accessories for around the $30 price point. Thats impressive.
So yeah, hope they continue but they need to never go back that far in their catalog for a re-release ever again.
