Leg and arm parts for an action figure maybe? Not sure which one!

I have these arm and leg parts - or at least I think that's what they are - for a figure, but I am not sure which one. I have been told they might be from a Transformer perhaps, but unsure which particular one. Does anyone know whether this is right, and if so which figure?
