Well it can't possibly be worse than the last one.

I suspect they made THE PREDATOR even worse by reshooting the ending, removing two "good" human-allied predators in the process.

Still not sure I hate it as much as ALIEN COVENANT. Preds wanting autistic kids for reasons is absurd, but it doesn't change the Predators as much as Ridley Scott's Engineers and android mad scientist mess ruins the ALIEN for me.

They definitely tried. Remember they said in the movie that the whole reason Predators were hunting and took the spines of their prey was to harvest DNA and inject it into themselves despite that it couldn't be more blatantly obvious from everything involving the Predators that it was all about honoring the worthiest opponents.

I think the rights to Predator go back to the original creators in 2023, so this is Disney/20th Century Fox's last hurray for the Predator franchise... I hope it is decent at least. Terminator going back to James Cameron did not help it at all though... so who knows when the next good Predator movie/show might happen.

I blotted that part out of my memory. Maybe I was thinking it was different Predator faction/clan, since there was one in Predators.

^ I can't wait for Prey... the lady being the hero of AVP really bothered me, but tiny Indian lady being the hero of Prey doesn't. *shrugs* Anyway... I am expecting some kind of twist from the movie.

Looks decent but I'm going in with low expectations. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Predator of this movie ends up being the elder from Predator 2 or something.

Prey is pure awesomeness... it feels like a horror movie too... easily the best Predator movie since the original (although that's not saying much I guess... and including both AVP movies). Also the dog makes it until the end... that was stressing me out the whole movie.

It was good but I wouldn't put it above Predators. Maybe on par with Predator 2.

^ IMO the problem with Predators is Adrien Brody... not for one second did I buy him as a badass... otherwise a great movie... I mean everything in Predators that isn't human related is great.

IMO the problem with Predator 2 is Danny Glover... he was not a worthy opponent for Predator coming after Arnold IMO... otherwise seeing a Predator in the city setting was great.

IMO the same problem with AVP... the main actress lady was not a worthy opponent/partner for the Predator IMO... everything else about the first AVP was great though.

IMO in Prey the Comanche girl and her dog pal were awesome... so that's why I put it above the above three.

Just finished watching it, for me it's up there with the first one as the best entry in the franchise.

I just watched Prey . well im surprised to say it was good not perfect but I enjoyed it. I liked feral predator very much .I saw some one posted online elusewhere that necas twitter mentioned they are going to make Ultimate Feral predator. -Hell yeah !!!!

I've been wondering about that. I hope Hiya makes one too. I'd love to get both.

You guys liked the Prey Predator design? I thought he looked too cheesy in a primitive way... but I guess since this is supposed to be 250-300 years before '86 Predator... I guess it is okay. Also just assumed he was like a reject Predator at home... otherwise why would start off killing snakes and hunting wolves.

It's not one of my favourite predator designs, but it fit with the whole "feral Predator" thing

Yeah the face was the main problem for me too

As I recall the director noted that this was the first time they've ever hunted on Earth so the idea was that they had no idea what the apex predator on the planet was. Watching the movie, this perspective makes sense as the Predator spends some time observing and sort of working his way up the food chain before realizing that humans are the deadliest game.

I really liked this movie with the exception of one glaring thing.

The guy who owns a certain gone was portrayed as really week and underwhelming. Made the whole gun mystery a letdown.

'Predators' had a lot more problems than just Adrian Brody trying to be a cold-hearted black-ops bad-arse. The cardboard cut-outs, the random nonsensical betrayals, the 'oh, this isn't an entirely bad movie after all' twists that left a foul aftertaste, the anticlimactic samurai face-off, the 'infinite reload ammo' issue that goes on and off, the Stormtrooper aiming syndrome, the ridiculous omni-directional traps (supposedly planted by a human soldier) and the list goes on.
