Chuck's Reviews Masters of the Universe Origins Horde Trooper
With the Power-Con release a few years ago we knew that Horde Trooper was coming to the MOTUO line, and here it is in all its cannon fodder glory. Much like the Cobra BATs from GI Joe, the Horde Troopers existed to give our heroes bad guys to smash and bash, without upsetting the delicate sensibilities of various parent groups. The Horde Troopers head is probably the most expressive of the line, it's a dome on a ball joint and can move in any direction you want. There's enough articulation in the arms for the Trooper to hold its weapon aggressively, but I really would've liked another open hand for the authentic two-handed pose. The action gimmick isn't as fluid as the vintage toy, so no way a punch from He-Man can trigger it, but it's a fair trade-off for a more stable and solid figure. Being one of the few, if only troop builders in the MOTU universe the Horde Trooper is worth the purchase.
