Interesting. Depending on how the cell shading looks in-person, this, bizarrely, might be my first grab from the line. The colors and hair are closer to my mind’s eye bronze age Mystique that I grew up with.

That cell shading ruins her chest like Storm's does.

I could use a Mystique and I kind of doubt she's high on Mafex's list.

It's a damn shame they only release two figures a month.

I want to know why the sculpt is more of a grimace with aggressive nasolabial folds.

i couldn't be happier they did mystique. definitely missing from my collection at large and to me this and morph just kind of proves they are going to try to make as many of the main heroes/villains as possible for this line. I know i wish they were all coming out at once too but as long as they keep churning them out then it won't be long until the set is complete!

Hmm tempting but that looks alot like recent invisible woman face sculpt .Darn just compared my Sue figure with this image it appears its the same so think ill pass and enjoy my old Mystique. I noticed baby kurt is reapainted baby hulk from old man logan.

Haha, is Baby Kurt a new sculpt, or is he baby Hulk from Old Man Logan or Old Man Hawkeye? (I'm not familiar with either series, but remember a figure of baby Hulk).

Has an action figure of Destiny been made? My first exposure to the X-men as a kid was when Rom encountered the Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants when they got mixed up with Hybrid (a mutant-born half-Wraith/half-Human child).

Heh, while verifying my source, I realized that Rogue had tried to kiss ROM to absorb his powers. Rogue also looks middle-aged!

EDIT: Alas... these old stories are lost to the ages (whell... outside Torrent, anyway) because a defunct toy company owns ROM's rights (the Micronauts also mixed with the X-men and the FF but they're now split between Marvel (its original characters) and I guess Devil's Due Publishing (the toy-based characters).

The baby Kurt is just a repaint of the Hulk baby. Which works well enough I think.

And I don't think there's ever been a Destiny figure, even in the old Toy Biz days. She's on a lot of most wanted lists for Marvel Legends.

My hat's off to you meihuar, I was/am a huge Rom fan and that was one of my first X-men experiences. Rogue looked 40 because Sal often drew villainesses with angular and lined faces, however, that didn't keep me from having a crush on her as a kid! Guess I had a thing for older 'looking' women ;) Of all of the character's looks, that one is my favorite.

As for Rom and the licensing hell surrounding the Galadorian Spaceknight, please don't get me started. I collected nearly the entire vol 1 run and a Hasbro fig of him is sadly one of my most dreamed of births that will never ever come to fruition. I've similar sentiments for most of the Micronauts, especially Acroyear and Devil...

Amazing what a different artist/design/writer can do for a character's popularity.

Complete bummer and almost deplorable they are not even selling the figure depicted in the back of the box.
That said, head sculpt was originally so, so. Not sure why hasbro tends to hate female characters in that sense.
Since I am too deep in this line, might buy if she ever gets to the price she should be... Tired of hasbro artificially increasing prices.
