MAFEX 185 & 186 Spider-Man & Scarlet Spider
 

I always liked the Scarlet Spider design, looks like a cool fig and may be my first MAFEX purchase

Preordered that Scarlet Spider. I’m excited to get that! I still want the original No.075 Spider-Man re-release a bit more than the classic version cuz I missed out that original version.

These look really good but not what I want.
Still patiently waiting for Comic Cap and Iron Spider.

Still got nothing on McFarlanes hard on for Batman

Will probably get Scarlet Spider but I was hoping if Mafex did a classic Spidey, it would be an entirely new figure, or a new head sculpt at least. The colors are great, but more spread out webs and Romita Sr./Buscema style eyes would have made it a must buy for me. As it stands I'm pretty content with just owning the original release.

Black Cat, Daredevil, Doc Ock and Green Goblin are my biggest hopes. I bet they'll do classic Cap and Hulk next though.

Was a fan of Medicom's classic Spidey mold until ML Retro spidey came out.

Don’t forget about about Silk, Elektra, and She-hulk!

It stinks that Medicom only releases two figures a month. There's a lot of potential here.

It's not McFarlane's hard on for Batman, it's DC's. Dead Company has zero interest in promoting anything Batman related unless it's, well, I shouldn't go there. I'll just say the light on top of GCPD isn't the only signal DC likes to flash.

For being called "Classic Costume" Spider-Man, he's not very classic.

So many Spider-Men and still no one has given me the exact version of Spider-Man I want. The Romitra Sr/Andru version.

I’ll take anything Spider-Man mafex. We do need more Villains, that’s for sure. If they start doing 90’s cartoon versions I might die.

Why does he call himself the "Scarlet Spider" but yet, wear a blue sleeveless hoodie?

The closest Romita Sr/Andru style figure is the Marvel Legends Retro Spidey head on the future ML two pack Spidey, I think, but legs are too muscular. The other closest version is the upcoming Mezco classic Spider-Man and that looks pretty close, but a bit too skinny in the legs.

Jameson named him the Scarlet Spider. He actually didn't like that name very much.

Not really. The two pack Spidey would need the webwinged arms from the AF15 Spidey on it. Actually, all Hasbro has to do is repaint the AF15 figure with light blue instead of black and use the smaller spider emblem with the M shaped spider legs and I'll finally have it.

@Topic: I want to like this figure, the cloth hoodie looks excellent, but the problem is that this costume mostly works because they draw heavy black shadows over the muscle contours to add depth.

Meanwhile this figure is just solid red plastic all over. I'm usually not a fan of painted shadows but this guy needs it bad. Or at least a wash with black paint to fill in the sculpted muscle lines or something.

I agree. They should’ve painted the shading on Scarlet like they did on Hush Batman.

Signal and Flash are major DC characters.....

I thought MAFEX was just reusing Spider-man bodies but these look different from each other but it could just be the lighting making the muscular structure look different. Not exactly a bad year for Spider-man given NWH last year and the next Spider-verse film.
