What's Gold Label mean?

Nice to have another person who wants females included.

I specifically want zatanna, poison Ivy, and cheetah.

I want Zatanna too if her attire is based off the Justice League Dark 2018/2021 run .

I think Gold Label usually means "special". Many are the grey resin looking ones, but not all. I'd assume Gold Label here is used because of the extra and fancier paint apps on it.

Gold Label means that it's a limited edition figure that will be harder to find. Usually, Gold Label figures have a standard release variant (ex. JL Darkseid, Martian Manhunter, movie Catwoman). However, the Year Two Batman has yet to receive a standard release.

It means if Todd put that label on there, he can charge you more money.

With the DC line so far.

Gold - Has been variants with different parts. It can range from a simple alt head that should have been included with the original release. Or go further and be a significant change but still using generally the same base. For example Wally West Flash is gold label but it's just the og Rebirth Flash with different colors and anew head.

Ocean Master is the Aquaman body with some new parts.

So far the Gold Label stuff has been store exclusives but no particular store. Obviously Walmart and Target have been getting them the most.


Platinum is typically that chase figure. It first started off as some color variants but has evolved into the Artist Proofs. Those go everywhere........which is a problem for online retailers.


But it's all just a label, it doesn't mean anything significant.

We're shockingly overdue for a Poison Ivy figure. The last one I can think of off the top of my head is the Bombshells Poison Ivy from 2016 and maybe a BTAS style figure either shortly before or after. Maybe I've missed one but it's still ridiculously low when she's a high profile, popular character.

I have zero faith in McFarlane to do anything about it.

Don’t forget the old Mattel dc multiverse classic ivy from 2019.

I’d think they would take her advantage of her solo series and release her soon, especially since her character has reached A-lister status and her merchandise sells exceptionally well.

They actually had rumored plans to make a uma therman ivy but it got scrapped, more than likely because of Todd being sexist.

Beside the card artwork. My only real complaint about Deathstroke is well the problem we are seeing on Superman. Their legs are awfully long and I don't know why.

Oh yeah I did forget about that. I was really excited for it when they showed the prototype, but the production figures headsculpt was disappointingly off model so I didn't get it.

You would hope so, and perhaps I'm doing McFarlane a disservice but I'm not sure he is that sensible with his choices.

It’s been confined that when Todd chooses wich characters to put in a line he bases it of which ones look the coolest, and he’s says that he will only do one or two females per wave if any get included at all.

Further proof how insanely outta touch he is. Dude needs to get his head outta his ass.

They also showed 2 12 inch statues of Rock Black Adam and Movie Doctor Fate. Todd is also showing off the super powers line that Walmart is getting.

Many if not most superheroines are basically just the "sexy Halloween costume" version of an older male character's outfit/theme. :p

It's about time he officially announced the Super Powers line! We already unofficially knew about it for weeks now and it's been hitting Walmart stores since the end of June. I hate that it's a Walmart exclusive though.

Don't have to. The dude is stuck in the freakin’ 90’s. He thinks variants are the way to go when damn near every other company just includes the extra heads, hand etc. Plus he thinks that female figs wont sell. Sorry bud but mcfarlane is an arrogant, out of touch dingleberry.
