Neat but five-pack of all the Life Foundation symbiotes would've been cool.

No thanks! I already have Lasher, Scream and Phage from before, I'm glad they didn't make us long time supporters to have to buy them again to complete the set. As it is, I'm already paying for an extra Venom. If a set of 3 is $78, a set of 5 would have been $150 easy.

Instant preorder for me! I had it the minute it went up. I can't wait to finish the Life Foundation symbiotes, and that might be the best Venom they have ever made.

Is this Venom a redeco of the cel-shaded one, which I think was based off the Omega Red body? Instead of the ... was it Hyperion? Body that was used in previous releases.

The hobby's called "collecting" for a reason. They already made the other three, and calling them D-List is being generous. No other company scrapes the bottom of the barrel for characters to make like Hasbro does.

This Venom is on the Omega Red body like the Animated version was. It's been tweaked a little bit from the looks of it...the holes in the shoulders have been plugged up and it has different forearms and clawing hands if I'm correct.
Considering it's essentially a BAF/Mega Fig paired up with two standard releases...it's pretty fairly priced.

Man its strange seeing Venom's body size change so much between figures and series. That Riot body is how I always imagine Venom, maybe that's just me

But for people who want all three it isn’t bad at all, especially since it includes a mega fig as you said.

They did already use that body for Eddie Venom as a deluxe and it debuted as the BAF of Gargan Venom. For Eddie (main universe, not Ultimate) it's way too bulky for the vast majority of his depictions, the Hyperion or Omega Red bodies are much better fits. They could use it to do Ultimate Venom later and that would work. At the same time these are toys of fictional characters so you do you.

Don't worry. There are other collectors (like me) considering getting the 3-pack but not keeping Agony or Riot.

Nice set, but I prefer the Absorbing Man wave Venom over all later releases for some odd reason. I'm sure I'm an outlier there.

Too bad hybrid isnt inplace of venom. Im sick of venom especially since hes had way more figs than any other symbiote and this is a wasted spot.

Actually I'm with you on that. I've succeeded in avoiding nearly all other Venoms because I was already satisfied with that one. I mind a little less considering that looks like a good body. It reminds of the Toybiz Venom from the Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six box set. That one reused the body used for Sabretooth in series 5 that was then used again for Omega Red. Coincidentally I also want this Omega Red Body for Sabretooth.

Yeah, a boxed set would have been the way to go. The vast majority of collectors with any interest in the Life Foundation symbiotes would want all of them and releasing them all together would avert a lot of frustration with piecing the group together one by one.

How does anyone with a full time job deal with all these exclusive random drops lately ? Im no completest anymore but symbiotes are some of my longtime favorite spiderverse characters.
PLEASE Any body get an Extra that are willing to trade ? I have an extra sealed deluxe venom ,captamerica symbiote,+ alot more .
Id be willing to even pay for your extra and give some figures for a bonus incentive . I dont feed scalpers but im willing to give to a fellow collector for their trouble.

Don't buy every single figure that comes out.

I remember how much of a pain in the ass that wave was circa 2017. The others all seemed cool but my sights were on Mysterio. I searched for him for 5 months through 4 cities on buses and whichever car I was in on any given day. I didn't have my own vehicle back then. Either there was no sign of the wave wherever I went or I was met with an army of Spider-Gwens and safety glasses Spider-Women. I finally succeeded when I found out a Walmart being built near me was going to have its grand opening soon. I figured they would have fresh cases of everything for opening day so I was there at the ribbon cutting.

Part 2: I immediately ran to the toy aisle and there was a couple of other vultures that beat me to it but luckily they were only there for Hot Wheels or something. I almost cried when I finally saw Mysterio there on the peg. Him and everyone else from the wave. Unfortunately I only had enough money on me for one figure that day so Mysterio was my choice by a mile. Luckily I came back the next day and Lasher was still there so I scooped him up. Little did I know that opening day was the only time I'd ever actually see a Spider-Punk or Noir in person though. I consider this the true last and greatest toy hunt I ever went on. After that I pretty much became a preorder/ buy it if I see in a store first type of guy.
