Holy shit yeah! This is one of the best reveals I've seen despite being a repaint. As shit luck would have it I did not succeed in getting either of the previous two Blaze Ghost Riders. I may not have a bike for him but I'm all over this.

I'll pass. Outdated body and incorrect colors.

MeLikeJinx 08-20-2022 04:24 PM

I would get this just for the new alt head and hands.

Agreed. This is lazy even for hasbro.

snake5289 08-20-2022 05:16 PM

As someone who had every one of the Toybiz GR figures the card alone is worth it. Would I have preferred it to be Dan? Absolutely but I'll take what I can get and hope they do more.

Looks like it's based on more recent art:

Okay, I probably should have said "Not original colors" rather than inaccurate.

ghostbogey 08-21-2022 02:28 AM

The "Flame Flesh" Head...
Is the "Bomb"...

Wish it was a 10"er...
Like the old ToyBiz...

Nice "Legends" tho..;^)

Thanks, fellow collector, will jump on this on the 23rd.

Note: Are we really getting a charger related to Ghost Rider for the next HasLab? Wow, making room for the Sentinel and Galactus is hard enough, but I will find some way to make it work with when Charger, when and if it is released.

Note 2: If we do get a Ghost Rider themed Charger, I will be happy for two reasons. The first, it Ghost Rider. Second, I’m a car guy and love beautiful cars, especially the American Classics. The Charger is such an iconic and beautiful American made car in my opinion.

The flames around his neck just looks like an ascot to me. Fred would be proud!

IzzyTipsy 08-23-2022 11:07 AM

I like it even though it's a repaint.

More curious if a ML Haslab Car will fund.

I wanted to like this... but they did him an injustice by just repainting an old figure and keeping those AIM legs. For some reason, the legs look really lanky and out of proportion.. and look worse in the package, like bow-legged.

I don't remember the AIM soldier or the previous GR using those legs looking this bad.

I love the packaging.. really wish this was a proper 90's Dan Ketch version, which they still haven't done.

firmpulse 08-23-2022 02:49 PM

He needs a bigger head flame.

Me too. It's hard to get excited about a figure that's been released at least twice already.

JPs 08-24-2022 08:07 PM

So they did Danny Ketch colors, but couldn't be bothered to add spikes & shape the coat more like his? Even the card art has those spikes.
Still, the additions of the transforming head for Johnny Blaze, the bone hands, the chain around the toro, fire effects, all tempting...
But Hasbro's prices just keep going up & up!
About as disappointing as them finally having toe movement for a Spider-Man, & he's packed (& priced) with Spinneret! Again, tempting with unmasked peter parker head (the civis Peter should've had the glasses as optional!) & the symbol is the same as that cyborg Spider-Man.

JPs 08-24-2022 08:10 PM

And on the note of people, & even some articles/reviews claiming AIM trooper is reused: parts in modern figures are always reused, this isn't new info at all. And Idk what came 1st using those arms and legs--Ghost Rider, AIM, or Spider-Man Noir. Saying they're reused doesn't really mean anything. But it is lazy, especially considering the box card art & color palette, that they couldn't be bothered to shape some spikes or something at least.

Parts being reused is not the issue though. It's how outdated those parts are that is the problem. Why not take this opportunity to at least give him new pinless arms and legs?

Because Hasbro takes the laziest route 90% of the time.

Not to mention, maybe they are doing that with the inevitable Haslab figure so that there is incentive to purchase it.

As it pertains to Marvel Legends, yes. Absolutely.

GizmoTron 08-25-2022 04:49 PM

It's also a retro carded figure, which most of the time are rereleases and have no retooling. Even when they do, often it might actually just be unused tooling from when they first put out the figure.
