Needs an unmasked head.

Trivial Psychic 08-23-2022 10:58 AM

I love this design...but are the arms supposed to be a different color from the torso/upper legs...cause that looks terrible. It makes it look like the process of yellowing in white plastic is starting to settle in, except it's being done on purpose.

Also...that price...yikes.

Yes they are. The "dirty" white is to emulate his travel-worn training uniform. The arms are a "new" suit since he doesn't have sleeves before he transforms.

Well, that is a feature with Hasbro toys lately, at least Transformers, so if you're lucky the arms will match the rest in no time.

It costs 45 bucks over here. 45. What the fuck.

He has one, you can see it in package...oh wait you can't see in package anymore... Well just take our word the unmasked head is in there, it is just wearing a helmet and hopefully it is painted properly...

I guess they are trying to give Ryu the sleeveless look while still putting him in sleeves??? I hate the off-white used with a lot of the lightning collection. It honestly feels like they did it just to release a more correctly colored version down the road trying to get us to double up on a figure with no real update.

Also that price is ridiculous, a couple years ago you could get a Green Ranger and Putty for only $6 more and they both came with more accessories than Ryu gets.... like an unmasked head...

Toy collecting is becoming more agitating than enjoyable lately. How many more pre-orders can one have before new stuff starts becoming available?

ghostbogey 08-23-2022 03:17 PM

Power Rangers Rule!!!!...
What????..

Huh....Sorry ;^)

Dr Kain 08-23-2022 04:28 PM

Wow, what a misleading title. When I read the words Ryu Ranger, a lame ass Street Fighter version was not the thing that came to mind.

This is the REAL Ryu Ranger:

https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/po...per_Sentai.PNG

There are REAL Power Ranger teams to complete, there ain't time to be wasting on trashy fanfiction like this.

Well aside from endless MMPR rereleases, trashy fanfiction like Turtles and Street Fighter Rangers is what sells best to the masses and is what will keep the line alive long enough to actually complete those teams.

THere's 30 years worth of teams to keep the franchise alive and more to come. They will be just fine without the crossover gimmick crap. However, if they want to do crossovers, fine, but they should first RELEASE. THE. FUCKING. INCOMPLETE. TEAMS!!

They are working on more teams, but if they're going to have a chance to complete them than it's good to have the crossover figures to bring in the extra capital to fund it.

Besides, the crossovers aren't in the regular waves, that's still all regular Power Rangers stuff, and with 30 years of teams and only 3-4 waves a year it's still going to take awhile.

That's the problem though. They're taking their sweet ass time to complete anything because they're too busy doing this crossover stuff. They might be exclusives, but then those are exclusives that take slots away from monsters and villains. You know, actual characters from the show, which are far more important than the Ninja Turtles and Street FIghters cosplaying as Power Rangers.

Dr Kain 08-24-2022 08:28 AM

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand another shitty ass Street Fighter figure was announced... -_-

I think that's it for the Street Fighter Collab unless to pull out Bison.

Again with the no unmasked head. Jeebus.

snake5289 08-24-2022 11:27 AM

Not a Power Rangers guy but these are looking pretty cool.

deecee4 08-24-2022 03:53 PM

Yeah, these look really cool, would be down for more.

MeLikeJinx 08-24-2022 08:00 PM

These Street Fighter crossovers look way better than the Ninja Turtle ones at least... well except for Pink Ranger April.

Glad my nostalgia toy window starts right after MOTU and ends before Power Rangers though... that's two expensive toy franchises that have no effect on me and I can completely avoid.

Nostalgia has nothing to do with these though. I am a huge PR/Sentai fan and I would never drop a penny on those (have no interest in the TMNT stuff either). I only buy the characters from my favorite series.

And you're not alone with that, the fact remains however that crossover figures have a broader appeal. This stuff sells to the fighting game fans that love Street Fighter and maybe played the video game in which these two Rangers appeared.

It went over well I'd say, these sold out on Pulse the day they went live.

I would take it easy if I were you, this breaths life into the line and brings funds to make more classic characters from the shows for you to enjoy.

Dr Kain 08-25-2022 05:53 AM

Finally, Time Blue and Snizzard have been leaked. YAY!!!!!!

lol

So Time Blue has pinless joints, drop down hips, and it looks like an articulated neck on the lower end. Yeah, Imma need every previously released ranger redone with the new body...

Man i hate that pinless crap. Im sorry but id rather the regular joints come back as its easier to fix hasbros qc issues. And those jointed necks are just another point for breakage, especially give how hard it can be to swap helmeted and unhelmeted heads.

Designincase 08-25-2022 01:15 PM

Much easier to fix the dumbbell neck joints then the one way.
If the dumbbell actually does break you can swap parts or build a new one. With the swivel, the damage usually cracks the neck itself.

With the limbs, you can easily disassemble it but I have had any problems with it. It would be nice if they adopted a sort of sleeve so would could replace a faulty joint while keeping pinless.

Swapping the heads cold can be difficult. Swapping them hot is very easy.
