Really got heavy into hot toys the past couple years. This was one of my major wants.

As legends raised their prices, and quality seemed to have gone down or stagnated, I find myself going hireend as im satisfied more.

With that said re-releases are great, but someone who paid top dollar previously, would have a bad taste in the mouth.

This is one of my favourite Batman costumes from movies. It looks sooo good!

Definitely get what you mean. Recently, even Prime1 has started releasing the same pieces with some colour variation or the other. It’s fine if they were selling the first releases at standard release prices. But, these companies do sell these premium figures under the “Limited Exclusive” banner and do charge a premium for that aspect. Then when they go and re-release, there is a valid question on whether one actually got their moneys worth.

I have the original Tactical Batman as well as the Deluxe JL Batman and just switched the nameplates. Collecting is what it is. In reality you should be buying things because they resonate with you, not because they might be worth more down the line.

If you don't think the price is fair then don't buy it. Unless this is one of those exclusive figures HT has been pushing recently this figure will be at least 10% off on Sideshow a couple months after release. Might still be regardless.

I think it's starting to become clear that HT (and by extension Sideshow) are starting to choke on their poor decisions. The preorder window/delays, terrible character choices, constant sales on Sideshow (literally every day they have a sale), huge price hikes, excessive repaints/reissues (particulary on DC's end), it's all coming to a head.

People can do what they want but I see no reason to preorder anything from this company anymore.

Super curious if you think this is a pickup vs waiting to see how his suit in The Flash turns out? I never thought I'd own/want another Bats beyond the '89 DX09, but Keaton's Flash suit is going to be a day-one order, and I'm flirting with getting a version of Affleck's as well.

For anyone comparing with previous releases, this is basically the Deluxe JL MMS455 with a swapped Tactical body, and without the Affleck headsculpt.

I think the Tactical Batman figure is probably my favorite HT figure outside of my DX12 Joker. Using the deceased Parademon display over the other one enhances it, so that was a good choice for this re-release. A fresh paint of coat (or coat of paint, however HT does it) can only help.

Regardless of what look you prefer I don't think waiting is a big deal. eBay is your friend if you let it be.

Appreciate that. There's defo enough of the Tactical on eBay at the same price or lower that I'm not rushing it. I've got McFarlane's 7" version (which is shockingly great) and these pics turned my head so I 100% appreciate your insight. Much thanks.

Thank you Mr obvious! Isn’t that what we all do everyday regarding any purchase haha?

Anyway, the point I was making was with regard to the principle of price determination. If one pays a premium for exclusivity and limited nature of an item, I can understand why one would then be upset if the same item was then re-released. After all, the person paid a premium for that exclusivity and limited aspect. I have no horse in the race, but even I can appreciate the concern with respect to the matter is all I said.

I still prefer the normal Batfleck suit but it's a great looking suit nonetheless. Well except for the goggles...not a fan of those.
