Marvel Legends 2023 Puff Adder Build A Figure
 

was really, really intrigued with that Extremis from the digital renders as it looked like they were going the ZD Toys route with some proper paint, but these product shots are just molded plastic with some metallic flake. Headsculpt looks oblong, fists look misshapen. Kind of relieved this isn't a pickup anymore, tbh.

The render for Extremis IM looked much better. The new pics of the fig looks cheap with no paint. Actually they shouldn't have painted the eyes and chest reactor that yellow. They should be white. It just looks awful being so yellow. Cap's shield too. So dull and cheap looking.

What the heck is a puff adder?

A type of snake. He's from the Serpent Society villains group. So they all have snake names. Cobra, Asp, Puff Adder, Boomslang, etc.

The puff adder (Bitis arietans) is a viper species found in savannahs and grasslands from Morocco and western Arabia throughout Africa except for the Sahara and rainforest regions. It is responsible for causing the most snakebite fatalities in Africa owing to various factors, such as its wide distribution, frequent occurrence in highly populated regions, and aggressive disposition.

I quit collecting Marvel Legends a year or two ago, so it's weird to see these closed cardboard boxes.

Are you guys running into a lot of quality assurance issues? I would usually flip through the pegs looking for the one with the fewest paint mistakes or crooked joints, but that seems impossible now.

I even saw a reddit post where someone had returned a figure to Walmart and replaced the figure with a bag of loose Legos.

Seems weird to advertise a zero plastic package for a... 100% plastic toy haha.

Puff adder looks so cheap. No detail. Just repaint of the mold that has been reused a thousand times (not literally, tho).

Iron Man looks strangely skinny. Cap looks good. It would cost me too much money if I got both of them, because Puff Adder is so cheap looking, I don’t think anyone wants BAF parts of that.

The rest look pretty good, but I don’t know them enough to want them in my collection.

I will never understand BAFs trying to get people to complete characters nobody wants.

People that's been collecting the Serpent Society would want this. Hasbro has released King Cobra, Cottonmouth, Constrictor and Rock Python so far. Madam Hydra is Viper. So Puff Adder would actually be a welcome BAF addition for them.

this release has me wondering... why is wonder man wearing a jacket? I see that the pockets are "W"s so that's kinda neat i guess, but i remember him in one iconic suit and i'm surprised this release is not that.

altogether it looks like a set that i will pass on. I would buy some of them at like $15, such as buying Cap for that shield. I do like the paint app on the hydra symbol on baron von googly eyes' chest and his head sculpt.

Puff Adder has the worst paint apps i have seen on a figure, though the new BAF body looks good.

These things look so cheap. I have one Marvel legends figure, Anti-Venom and even back then it was lack luster. I was doing a clean up and litterally decided to throw it away. I never even considered giving it away because i figured no one would probally want it.

I watch Videos of people reviewing Marvel legends on youtube and they look worst and worst amd worst everytime i see them and imagine the real versions of these. These are the marketing pieces and they look like Crap. I can just really imagine how worst off the real product will look.

Hasbro lost me after "Marvel Universe" 3.75 line. They were really good for what they were. Really well done. I dont think i will ever part with them but its a real disgrace that even bigger figures are being treated so poorly.

In response to warmachine6: The problem with that Puff Adder is the teal chosen is too dark and it's lost inside the other green. That had to have been a bright aquamarine or turquoise. Also pretty sure that's Caliban reused there.

That's an ugly head sculpt for Cap. The really definitive, good quality sculpt of classic, patriotic Cap still has not been made.

Also love the Serpent Society so I'm really happy to see Puff Adder and would die contented if they ever are an Anaconda.

Speaking of villians, it's nice to see Vertigo, though I've never understood why we haven't seen any other Marauders characters other than Sabretooth. Mutant Massacre was a huge storyline

The digital render looked far better for Extremis IM. Judging by peoples reactions I think we’ve probably seen this line peak. Hasbro made improvements with articulation, pinless joints though, so I guess the trade off is with paint.

Orb is a HUGE fan of the Residents, lol.

Yeah the fig looks skinny. That's another gripe. The Extremis armor in comics had broad shoulders and chest and a skinny waist. A swimmer's build like Michael Phelps. Even the box art gave it broader shoulders and chest, so that was false advertisement. It's sad that the Terrax BAF Extremis IM pulled off the proportions much better than this new one.

I bet everybody who shoots at Orb aims for his eye... years of 80's and 90's video gaming conditions you to shoot at the giant eye of any bad guy.

I feel like Yelena is the only must have of the wave.

Heck, you don't even need a real gun, just use a Super Soaker and he'll be blinded for the remainder of the fight!
