Cool! Lots of expensive toys here. The Mafex Hush line is amazing. I wish I could get my hands on Catwoman. Your Bolland statue has tempted me many times.

Yeah, i really want Catwoman as well. Second maket prices for her crazy though... I wish Mafex made a reissue. Poison Ivy and Nightwing looks great btw. i put both of them on preorder. I only have two Batman (Blue and Black verions.) and Hush himself on the Hush Line. You can't go wrong with Mafex, it is totally worth the Money. I am big on DC but i don't have a single McFarlane toy, 'cause i come to the conculution of instead of getting 3 McFarlane toys, get 1 Mafex, the quality is so much better.

Yeah, Bolland B&W Statue is great especially if you like The Killing Joke Adventure. I have many Batman B&W statues, it is an amazing line, it used to be effordable as well.

Bolland is one of my favourite artists. In fact, the first comic I bought when I started collecting was Robin #1 (the first Tim Drake miniseries), with the awesome Bolland cover. Been hooked since.

Very nice. I always enjoy seeing peoples' collection of stuff I don't have.

ApasticPlastic's DC collection, because I'm more of a Marvel guy.

Arachnid13's female collection, especially all the different Poison Ivys that I never knew existed.

In your case, all the stuff I can never afford! Ha ha. Can't wait to see other opened collection pics. Or do you open?

I used to have a little friend who was a really big Tim Drake fan. I said little friend because back then in 2003, he was 15 and i was 20 or something. I met him on a forum and i lost contact with him after the Forum and the MSN got closed. He was very homophobic though, DC turning Tim Drake Bisexual must have ruined his day. How do you feel about that ?

I keep my toys in their boxes. You are a Marvel guy and since you can't afford Mafex, Mezco, Figma and S.h.figuarts, you must be into Marvel Legends. I used to collect Marvel Legends when i was little, then i discovered Japanese figures and never looked back.

I can see you value quality over quantity, and obviously have the financial mean to do so. For the rest of us "peasants" (ha ha!), Marvel Legends is good enough. I'm also addicted to Star Wars, G.I.Joe and Transformers, so the money has to spread around a bit more. It's nice to see your high-end collection though, and your collection is also quite diverse.

Yeah, when i discovered expensive Japanese Figures around like 2016, i thought to myself, Well, instead of getting a series of DC Direct, Diamond Select and Marvel Legends figures, i can get a really good quality Figma or S.h.Figuarts figure (back then there was no McFarlane DC Multiverse line or Mafex Figures) that way, i can have really good quality figures and more space. (: Win Win ! so since around 2016 i haven't touched a single Diamond Select or DC Direct or i don't have single McFarlane Multiverse figure which is the continuation of DC Direct today. I got the Retro Card Marvel Legends Classic Kingpin figure though, i had to have it. I hope Mafex also makes a comics Kingpin someday.

I am also into Star Wars, i have many S.h.Figuarts Star Wars figures. I also have a couple of loose Transformers figures as well, but i don't collect Transformers and G.I.Joe anymore. I am into all kinds of things from Anime to American Comics so i have a really diverse toy collection.

Nice stuff. Those Mafex look nice, that must be why they're so expensive.

Yeah, you can't go wrong with Mafex. Is that Earth One Batman figure infront of the Earth One Comics in the picture on your avatar from McFarlane Multiverse line ? You seem to really like Earth One. I wish i could say the same... I read all of Earth One volumes so far and they were all mediocre at best, IMHO.

Batman: Three Jokers Batman figure I have it in front of the Earth One volumes because the Three Jokers & Earth One costumes look similar. Yeah. I enjoyed the Earth One Batman books, but still, the best Earth One series is the Superman series. That's my opinion at least. Yeah. Mafex definitely seems to make high-quality products glad you can afford them.

Yeah, thank goodness, i can afford Mafex. I even very rearly get a Hot Toys figure here and there, but man... they are crazy expensive. I read Earth One Superman, vol. 1 and 2 but i haven't read the vol. 3 yet. I just lost interest, vol. 2 was ok. vol. 1 was really pretentious with all the drug stuff... Lets bring in drugs to make Superman Comics look adult... meh... Pretencious. IMHO.

I am not much of Morrison fan, i am resentful to him because of the Bat Cow none-sense as a Batman guy, but All Star Superman was the Best Superman Comics, i have ever read. It was just so good. I even have the DC Direct figures.

ddarko 01-22-2023 01:41 PM

That is a very nice and varied haul! Do you paint and collect the Warhammer figures as well? I have been very tempted to get some of the pre-painted releases from Joytoy, but I fear I will get hooked and it will be a another money drain if I end up getting one lol. They are pretty expensive for 1:18 scale and the cost can rack up very easily.

Yeah. I spotted some used Mafex figures at Vintage Stock and they were still selling for hundreds of dollars USED. I'll stick to the cheap stuff. :D To tell you the truth I forgot it was there. I was mostly invested in the Kryptonian lore in Earth One. Zod is in Vol. 3 and Shane Davis is replaced by Adrian Syaf. Vol. 3 also takes a unique spin on Lex Luthor.

I love All-Star Superman. I think it's Grant Morrison's finest work. I did just recently discover there were DC Directs for that too. I have some DC Directs mostly for Superman/Batman Public Enemies which I consider Jeph Loeb's best work.

Thanks. Yeah, i have some Warhammer 40K miniatures. I built Uriel Ventris, Ultramarines Captain and tried to paint it, but i didn't have some of the proper colors, especially skin tone so it still sits on my shelf, half painted. (: Joytoy figures are very tempting, but they came out so fast and so many... I don't have the courage to get into that line. If they make Roboute Guilliman, i will be all over that though.

Yeah, Mafex is Expensive. I even saw a guy on ebay try to sell damaged Hush Superman for over 100 dolars. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies was a nice read, but Batman: The Long Halloween is the best work of Jeph Loeb to me. It is also my favorite Batman Comics and the best comics, i have ever read about Two Face as the Villain.

Long Halloween is great. Definitely think it's Loeb's best standalone Batman story.

Man, i got really carried away and got 10 Action Figures, this month. Eh... You live only once... Lets go nuts. (:

Yeah, it is the best Gambit figure in 1:12 scale. Mezco Gambit is pretty good as well, but Mafex takes the cake by being accurete to comics costume design of Jim Lee era X-Men.

I know the picture quality of my latest haul is crapy and i appologise for that. I tried to avoid my own shadow fall on the figures in the haul, but it was pretty hard to shoot the picture from that angle, so it turned out as a crapy photo even without my shadow in it anyway... :/

I will definetly do my best to shoot an alot better picture in my next haul.

If you are using your phone for pictures, turn it on it's side for landscape or whatever.
