Mafex Mando 2.0 and Recovered Armor Boba
 

Nah, don’t like either of those. I have the first Mando from Mafex which wasn’t that good all things considered, so I won’t go for another one. As for Boba, I have the "Book of Boba Fett”-version from Figuarts on pre-order, I like that design better.

The wait for Bane continues.

I preferred the Mafex Mando to the Figuarts for what it's worth. This looks pretty good overall; both have pretty good sculpts.

Why do these look like cheap trash!?

It lacks articulation (no thigh swivels), you have to bend the side armor and gun holster for outward leg articulation (all hinged on the SHF) the helmet looks off (visor too small, plus they painted a weird black line above it) the armature holding his rifle is a giant pain the butt, and his gun is hot pink for some reason. The cape is the only thing I prefer on Mafex.

Figuarts has wonky proportions for sure, but I like it better as an action figure.

I don’t know how much the V2 fixes things, but I won’t be the one to find out.

Honestly think the Black Series figure of both of these are quite good, I feel no need to buy a more expensive version.

The plastic capes on those are a real hindrance, especially when it comes to posing Mando with the jetpack. I got the S2 Figuarts Mando and much prefer it to the BS version(though if you only pose your figures standing then BS still looks good on a shelf).

Another disappointing reveal. There are hundreds of Hasbro Star Wars figures and they already look great. Mafex already made a Mando. Wtf? Anyway, I guess I have to wait even longer. Damn, some fans may have to wait until 2026 to get Knightfall classic Batman and Bane in hand.

All Mando figures have at least one killer flaw that keeps them from greatness. Bandai’s is the proportions and articulation engineering, same for Hasbro + the messed up helmets, and Mafex had issues as well, though I can’t remember them. I did believe they had the best one though.

The MAFEX was mostly pretty great all around, but one of the notable not-quite-there sticking points was that the helmet sculpt was off, namely the visor being too thin and a couple other proportional things. Looking at this v2, it looks like they've fixed the helmet?

Also damn, that Pedro Pascal likeness.

Yeah, pink gun aside the Mafex Mando was the best of the bunch and hopefully this one will resolve the lingering little issues. Not digging the Boba though, even the SHF v1.0 looks better, never mind the upcoming BoBF version.

Yeah I think MAFEX loses to SHF on Boba. Yes, this version should be pudgy, but that’s a little too fat, and I think SHF’s face looked better. The red on the visor also looks to be a little too bright, not sure why they didn’t just abandon this look and go for BoBF either, considering the timing…
