Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Playmates TMNT 2023 Images

Feels a little late to be getting a full on TMNT Legends line especially when these are mostly old sculpts that feel really outdated. Feels like a toy line designed to be bought FOR a collector rather than BY a collector.
What size are these?
Ahaha, the Shredder looks like it was made back in the 90s
"Inspired by the 1990 movie" except that Raph was the only one who wore such a disguise in the movie. They're really taking advantage of the looseness of "inspired."
It's like Playmates isn't even trying when doing in house TMNT stuff now. How many times have they recycled these already not great molds?
Post 90s Playmates = TRASH
Playmates needs to give it up. Adult Collectors go to NECA and Super7 for their turtle needs.
The mileage on these molds is nothing short of amazing. Playmates have now used these for….over 10 years?…
Playmates, these are bad….and you should feel bad. |
I'm glad I didn't buy the two packs. If the price is reasonable I'll get these. I don't open my neca stuff or super 7.
Kinda liberal usage of the word elite isn't it? These actually look worse that the initial figures that used these molds. Kind of impressive how lazy playmates has gotten recently.
You find the two packs using these molds on Amazon on discounts. Probably get all 4 for around $100.
Hard to believe this is the same company that gave us the original TMNT line along with the glorious unmatched Star Trek line.
The 90’s Movie turtles were and still are something to behold. Before Neca, I used them as my “movie maniac” turtles. They were so cutting edge at that time. Amazingly they still look miles better than the garbage they are releasing now. |
Damn, it's the same shit rotting at Walmart. Specifically that undersized Tricereton and Shredder.
I guess cool for people who want a true 6" scale Shredder but if you have NECA there is zero reason to get these. |
"TMNT Ninja Elite"...? These look like fucking dollar store figures, lol.
The Triceraton guy looks good and shredder dont look bad.
Shredder done got his noggin shrunked.
They love those molds man….the triceratops looks more like some weird bird. Which is cool I guess but…you know what I lost all motivation to acknowledge these again XD.
It's funny, but somehow I know Playmates is going to make the perfect Turtles one day. I just hope I still care by then. So far, none of the NECA or Super7 releases are doing it for me. We've seen other companies - namely Jazwares and Jakks - start to make good figures after years and years of absolute garbage, so I don't see why Playmates can't turn it around.
yups. talk about lazy. TMNT is one of those franchises that just needs a good push to get it rolling every decade or so.
What scale is this? Is this the old TMNT Classics line?
Comment on Neca and Super 7 for adult, yuk Neca breaks so horrible quality Super 7 is overpriced and pretentious as all hell Playmates needs to stay in the game. I have a serious dislike for Neca and Super 7. |
Well....
Hmmmmmm.... No comment ;^) |
