That Hot Toys design for the remote is never going away, is it? I know there isn't any real reference on the original but c'mon. And who's going to tell NECA that the smoke capsule tip is supposed to be clear like the body and not silver? >____>

The removable panel doesn't match the Evans Batman aesthetic at all and should've been dropped, and I have no idea what the thing inside the capsule are supposed to be. No, really, what are they? Does anyone have any idea?

Regardless, I need a "working" '89 belt so I guess I'll be getting it anyway. It's cheaper than pretty much any halfway-decent fanmade belt, almost none of which have a front closure, so it's kind of a no-brainer. :)

Are they seriously including a stripped down speargun??? The existing speargun they sell can't split in two that way without serious surgery, and sure as hell isn't magnetic.

It's live at the NECA Store for a June delivery. The "bundle" part is the inclusion of their existing batarang and what makes this version exclusive; all of the other gadgets are part of the Utility Belt set, including the basic speargun. No news on when other retailers will get the regular release or the MSRP.

I've already got two of those batarangs and want to know the regular version's price so I can make an educated purchasing decision (and not pay $18 in shipping!) but I also can't miss out on something like this so I'm gonna have two more of them. Turns out I'm not FOMO-immune, and I should've known the exception would be mass market '89 Batman merch that should've already existed. :D
