Chuck's Reviews Transformers Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime
Finally, I was able to get my hands on this figure. The hype is justified as this is a fun Prime to transform and pose around. Unfortunately, for many, this is still hard to find, and with the Studio Series version coming around the corner, I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy, especially if you can't find it for a reasonable price.

Skipped through the video. (Too long.)
Don't know what kind of plastic they're using, but it's cheap looking and doesn't have the right colour. The design is also underwhelming, to put it mildly. It vaguely looks like Optimus Prime, but it comes across as a cheap/try-hard knock-off. Eighties plastic from G1 figures has better details than this. And the industry was in its infancy at this stage. And I bet eighties plastic has better durability than this cheap-looking material as well. |

I understand what you mean about the plastic as I've handled quite a few figures that didn't feel "right." In my hands Prime feels ok outside of one or two issues mentioned in the video. I agree about the KO look, at first something looked off about the figure but I've gotten used to it as that's Prime's movie look. |
