Is it me or do none of the Japanese toy sites have these for order?

T0ySick 09-21-2023 08:01 AM

Finally a real ifirit price tag..have to think about this one.

Zigerlion 09-21-2023 09:08 AM

These FF stuff sure are expensive. Ifrit looks cool, but that's no way worth $300...

It’s 12 inches tall and an all original sculpt. I’m not that attached to ff16 so I won’t be buying it but I feel the value is definitely there, especially in a world where a haslab giant man is 200 and probably had half the effort put into it as this.

FF!!!
(again)

Exactly..is $300 expensive for ANY toy? yes! This is one of those figures that I understand it.Jesus the molding for this figure has to be expensive AF. The size might not seem that tall but the shelf space will be huge for the diameter of the figure. I loved the game. The character design is fantastical. I had no faith that they would make a figure of him. Or at least if they did would go the soft details route to make it an easy to produce figure. Nope they went all out for the production. Amazing details and presentation. The after market value on this thing years from now will be a why the fuck didn't I buy it at $300. And Again $300 is still pricey for ANY figure this scale; 12 inch toys are always pricey though. SEE HOT TOYS.

Only gripe I have is its not transparent plastic like the prototype they showed at its reveal. BUT (and its a big FF Butt) transparent plastic has a habit of being more brittle and prone to breaking. So not the worse thing.

Though after looking again it might be the same plastic but the red light they used for display gave the illusion of transparent plastic.

Nope. I had the Bring Arts Odin and Sleipnir and that was worth the $300. A 9 inch fig with a 13 inch horse, that still had more accessories than this Ifirit. This one's a downgrade in every sense.

*EDIT* Correction, Odin and Sleipnir was $200 MSRP, jacked up to $250-$300 depending on the reseller. So Ifrit's price is 50% more and not worth it to me.
