MOTU x TMNT Turtles of Grayskull Discussion

TMNT X MOTU Turtles of Grayskull Line Announced

The article mentions specific crossover toys, but the artwork honestly just looks like Revelation/Masterverse style MOTU figures we have already.

Harbinger 10-17-2023 09:30 AM

Mighta been interested if in masterverse scale but big pass on origins style.

Those are awful looking! They don't look like a true crossover. They just look like variants of existing toylines. We should have He-Man with a ninja mask, Shredder with a Skeletor mask, Rocksteady & Bebop sharing a body like Two-Bad and April with a snake staff ala Teela.

I dig em. Def getting Turtles and Trap Jaw so far. Pick and choose. Skeletor Turtle Armor sounds promising.

Great idea there!

Spoon 10-17-2023 11:11 AM

I'm digging these. I'll probably just pick up the TMNT characters.

That He-Man looks more like a Faker or Anti-Ooze He-Man. The red eyes, hair & armor color, face sculpt, spikes, weapon, and toes busting out of the bottom are elements more associated with the villainous sides of the two properties.

ghostbogey 10-17-2023 12:03 PM

Well, Well....
MOTU and TMNT...

Classic I say...

Classic ;^)

I agree. Like them way more than I thought I would.

Give me Shreddator or Shreddak now, please.

Dfunk1210 10-17-2023 01:02 PM

What is the thinking behind that He Man? Is a purple and green He Man some kinda obscure TMNT reference?

i guess Zombie He Man is supposed to be some mutant He Man

JerpJerp 10-17-2023 01:08 PM

Wild and wacky

Wowzer, lots of mixed feelings but pretty good overall. Pick and choose situation. Really happy to see this coming.

I don’t understand everything..who is man at arms supposed to be? What is that He-man? Looks very cool, I’ll get it, but the overall schematic of this turtles crossover idea doesn’t feel cohesive, also its got next mutation vibes, which is not ideal….

Sean C 10-17-2023 03:45 PM

Also, not sure who Man-At-Arms is a cross with. Shredder? Chrome Dome? That samurai Panda?

The Mouser colors on Trap-Jaw look odd.

He-Man is fun if you like evil He-Man. I guess he's like Mutagen Man, but that figure didn't have bluish skin and was more horrific.

Donatello as Man-At-Arms. Look, how much Manny can we stand?

Leondardo is the most boring and if this weren't part of an announced crossover, I wouldn't really notice the MOTU aspects.

Krang is fairly neat.

Not sure I'd actually buy any of them, though, not at full price. Too far behind on actual Origins.

Hoping for Barbarian April.

snake5289 10-17-2023 04:05 PM

Donnie-At-Arms is cool but that's about it for me.

Spoon 10-17-2023 07:26 PM

I've read that this is supposed to be He-Man and not Faker. I thought maybe it was Faker and Slash which would be cool and make sense. This might be He-Man and Super Shredder mashed up. I'm guessing it's part of the included story with the lore in the mini comics or packaging.

Might get a normal He-Man too unless it's just 16 figures and done without deluxes, two packs, vehicles, or playsets. I haven't been keeping up with the news for this crossover, so maybe all that has already been confirmed.

C02MOS 10-17-2023 08:08 PM

I spent an hour writing a glowing response but somehow it got deleted.

Bottom line with exception of Mouser Jaw and Krang... I think these are awesome.

My guess is it really is Faker.... and they'll be another He-man in wave 2, which mãn, they left some goodies for wave 2 didn't they!

I just saw someone mention it might be Slime Pit He-Man. I could see it with the green hair, red eyes and translucent body. Slime Pit He-Man and Super Shredder would make sense because of the Ooze.

Yeah they surely left some good characters for future waves. I really like the previously mentioned idea of Bebop and Rocksteady as Two-Bad. I'm honestly surprised they were left out along with April.

Masters of the Universe Origins 2021 Power Con Exclusive Horde 4 Pack Horde Slime Pit Artwork
Zombie Slime Pit He-Man
Zombie Slime Pit He-Man is one of those pop culture phenomena, as Slime Pit He-Man was never made into a figure during the original Vintage 1980’s line. As a matter of fact, we finally got Slime Pit He-Man as an official action figure in the Masters of the Universe Classics Line in and as a Power Con Exclusive in 2019 as pictured below. Slime Pit He-Man has appeared in the Eternia Minis line since and even some creative customizers have also made more vintage style looking Zombie Slime Pit He-Man figures, as shown below. He has always been portrayed in a bright green translucent plastic.
Also his eyes are red...

BB Shockwave 10-18-2023 04:41 AM

Why is He-Man transparent and colored like Faker?
And Krang is now in the stomach of a random orc???
The funniest is Mouse Jaw. That name is just ridiculous, and his face is inside a Mouser's head... :D I see with the accessories on his belt, you can make a full Mouser out of him too by detaching his Mouser-arm.
Since the original TMNT toys had the same bow-legged no knees stance as MOTU, honestly Leo and Donnie do not really look all that different.

kollekxon 10-18-2023 05:08 AM

Looks like a waist of plastic. They should scrap this and invest the plastic in something better.

Not an orc, but a deep cut reference to MEGATOR, the vintage MOTU evil green giant that was only released in Italy.

kantboy2 10-18-2023 10:26 AM

It'll probably be called "Ooze Pit He-Man"

Krang has the whole "Megator" vibe with those colors. I dig it.

Don/MAA is the most logical pairing; both have armor that mirrors the other.

I'm guessing they're holding April/Karai/Evil-Lyn for year 2 if the line sells.
