Video Game Characters You Want As Action Figures and By Whom?
 

With Premium DNA appearing to have lost the Rare figure license, likely because of customer complaints and shipping delays, I've been wondering who should instead be the ones to make action figures of certain video game characters.

Jada Toys is a good choice for Killer Instinct, seeing as they've done amazing so far with Street Fighter and Mega Man, and Boss Fight Studio could be a good fit for a 4.5 inch line of Banjo-Kazooie figures, seeing their experience with more cartoonish character designs like Popeye.

What are some video game characters you want as action figures and by what company? Keep in mind I will also accept characters that have already had been made into figures.

I know it's been rumored, but I'd love for Jada to get the MK license. With how they handled the SF line and have the all whole Super Street Fighter line up in the pipe and/or released, it'd be nice to get that with MK.

Seems like every time a company gets the license, the line fizzles out before any roster from any game is released.

NES Pro Wrestling & Punchout! figures are are huge wants of mine. Preferably made by Neca or Super 7. But, really i would be interested if any company had the license.

Either way, it'd be nice to get MK figures that were in-scale with the Jada Toys Street Fighter figures.

You and me both. Might be Jakks Pacific or Max Factory because of their history with Nintendo. I've been buying more of Jakks' non-Mario figures hoping it encourages the release of more obscure characters.

Yeah. I'm looking forward to their Contra figures.

Strider, billy and jimmy lee from double dragon, Rygar, the hero from trojan.

I'd like to see Hasbro tackle Legacy of Kain and Resident Evil.

Both series have large characters that could work as Build A Figures and Hasbro is just top dog when it comes to 6incn figures, especially if they were to give RE the same care they give GI Joe. Hell, make RE an extension of the GI Joe line. It's not like it would be the first time they've done that.

It's also be nice to see a company commit to more than just Raziel and Kain for Legacy of Kain. BBI only did one other figure while NECA did solely those two are they were not that good.

My favourite games are the Arkham series, Manhunt, and Oddworld.

The Arkham games have good representation, though I wouldn't mind it if NECA tried their hand at more of them.

Manhunt doesn't really need figures.

Oddworld had some really cool details, so I'd put my faith in NECA to tackle that and get it right.

Mostly just characters/scales that companies already do but the way I would collect.

I want some actual 3.75 scale Streets of Rage and not whatever weird-ass fake to-scale figs Jakks is doing.

I also whish they'd expand their Nintendo line more, where's Kirby and Captain Falcon and the like? Ness and Lucas? Give us as much of the Smash Bros. experience as possible!

Hiya is apparently only doing Contra in their larger lines, I need them in 3.75" as well.

I'd really like to see some EarthBound stuff. There's nothing out there, not even in Japan. They got some little figurines and keychains, but that's about it. We did finally get the Ness and Lucas amiibo, but nothing poseable or with accessories.

I've seen some new action figures of other Nintendo characters at Walmart, so maybe Ness and Lucas will be included at some point, but I'm not holding my breath for anything else. I can hardly blame them for not wanting to take a chance on a niche property that hasn't seen a new entry in almost twenty years, but it'd make some pretty cool figures.

It's got a ton of wild designs, and the simplistic art style would allow them to make stuff that's both true to the source and has fun play features. Give Ness a classic spring-loaded waist so that he can swing his bat and yo-yo. Paula's PK Fire could be represented by a translucent fireball missile that launched from her hand. Pick your poison with Jeff's weapons (also missiles). Poo could have a karate chop action, maybe with swappable hands so he could also do an overhead slash with the Sword of Kings. The enemies could carry a toy line all on their own! Master Barf could come with slime (which is apparently popular with kids again, just saying), the Frankystein Mark II (and/or Pork Army tank) with functional tank treads, New Age Retro Hippie with a toothbrush he tries to whack you with, and I could go on and on.

Resident Evil. It's insane that this IP is so severely neglected when it comes to action figures and honestly just merchandise in general.
