Nacelle at NYCC 2024
|
Was kinda hoping they'd do garrack first for star trek
|
REALLY interesting choices for even half of a first wave of Star Trek figures. Jellico?! I saw his face first and said... no way they're doing a Jellico figure out of the gate. Huh. Nacelle already had my curiosity with the Cowboys of Moo Mesa line, but now they really have my attention.

Nacelle must be REALLY confident the Star Trek license will perform well for them if this is their showing. Not gonna lie, these actually look great, at least better than Super7, Jellico, and Garrett are for sure insta-buys, originally had no interest in anything outside of main cast, but these look just good enough.
Edit: oh sh!+, apparently they were also sharing a Tuvix prototype as well Edit 2: found an image detailing the first 8 planned figures, all interesting choices, no regular main cast members aside from Movie Captain Sulu, but hot damn am I over the moon for Weyoun! |
The fact they are opening with such an...interesting selection has me a lot more interested than if it were just Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Picard, Riker, Janeway and Worf or something.
|
trek is already niche enough for toys
then they start off with no bodies. I know some hard core trekkies will be excited but who else is going to buy these ? I like trek and I will be happy with just the main casts, some red shirts and some of the famous alien creatures kirk fights lol. |
I imagine Nacelle are aiming this at hard core collectors, not the mass market. Speaking for myself this completely bizarre selection of figures has more more interested than yet another Kirk/Spock/McCoy reveal. Especially since a lot of the previous Trek figure lines fizzle out before completing a single bridge crew.
Having said that I think Nacelle should announce a more conventional wave two to encourage people to buy these so we can get some of the more mainstream. I'm in for all of these but Archer and Tuvix and I'll get Tuvix if I think I'm going to get, say, Janeway and Tuvok in Wave two. |
Yikes, some of those Star Trek characters are pure shit, like Tuvix. And I'm a hard core Star Trek fan. Well here goes another star trek failure.

The scale of these might work with some previous figures but I'm sure the most popular characters will be used to anchor waves featuring more obscure ones. |
Ive seen their stuff at walmart. They lo9k great, but could use a but more articulation. The robo force stuff though, damned impressive. I hope bmfm gets their cyckles soon.
