Ocean Master(s)
 

I repainted the Gold Label & Page Punchers Ocean Master. PP OM’s main change was getting his crest gilded. That was such a strange omission considering the rest of the helmet got painted. His emblem & eyes became metallic red. The dark dull purple of the GL OM was painted over with metallic purple to look more like kingly armor. I used matte varnish instead of gloss to keep it from being blinding, yet he still doesn’t photograph well. I could’ve sanded down his chest & shoulders before painting them black, but I prefer more shiny violet scales to comics accuracy in this case. Even for a dude that lives under the sea, his skin was extremely sallow. So shading was more important than usual for both mouths. Lenses got gloss. I didn’t photograph their backs since both are covered by rubber capes I didn’t repaint.
