Month of Marvel at TRU
It's kind of an unspoken "event" it seems. So yeah guys if you're in need of new MU figs check your TRUs. They're setting up mid aisle displays (big blue boxes) and they're full of Iron Man 2, Spider Man and MU figures. The display may be hidden, hell my boxpallett display was back by the bikes and cribs.
Picked up Mystique, Captain Britain, Wrecker and Ghost Rider. Passed on Multiple Man, and Team X Wolverine. And they had a good amount of Iron Patriots, though no Helmetless ones at mine. |

are they priced differently or just set up nicer
|
Still 7.50 but about 6 of everything I listed. So if you're missing something new, they'll probably have it.
|
nice for MU fans, TRU is quite have many stock rather than any other retails shop i think...

Looks like I will need to take a look and try and find those IM2 Drones!
|
This is great news. Hopefully the Capt. Britain wave will start showing up.
|
i have found lots of helmetless iron patriots at several walmarts in denver, co.

Hasbro sends them cases to the main warehouse, then the main warehouse sends them out to the smaller(district) ones. The smaller ones then go out to the stores of that district. Nothing about it is straight from hasbro to the store. |
Okay, I went my TRU yesterday expecting great things. This is the one that stocked the Ghost Rider/Captain Britain wave weeks ago. All they had was the Juggernaut wave, and the weird thing is that this is the first time they've had it! How do does a store get the Ghost Rider wave BEFORE the Juggernaut wave? I guess it's like Snowflakian said: bad warehouse distribution. They've shown interest in catering to collectors before; I wish there was a system where a manager could put in a request for certain things commonly demanded in his area and then it would be flagged when it arrives at the warehouse.

there is a prioritizing system for select items, big ticket items which toys are not (unless they have a ridiculous profit margin). it depends on what kind of volume the store in question has in regards to sales, the bigger sales get more faster. when i worked at target compared to the neighboring 4 stores we consistently kicked their ass as far as sales go, our store was smaller but our numbers were high so we would get priority in regards to launch and restock items such as wii's, wii fits, air conditioners, movies, games, outdoor furniture etc.. items tend to go where the demand is. if a team leader for the toy department puts in a request for more stock it's a crap shoot if and or when they would get it-when it did happen it happened in about 8 days from the request to the items being put on the shelf. sometimes other stores will ship some items to others if the said item is not moving as fast but that damn near never happens unless a store manager requests it. that never happens for toys.
