Clear plastic version of the SPEC Black Serena
 

Ghosts do exist!

At the very least, you can't call this a "repaint" exactly, but it's certainly an interesting choice to pick the Black Serena for the clear plastic treatment. On the one hand, it's not exactly a stealth unit. On the other hand, the layered armor will definitely give this more "depth" than other clear plastic toys.

I think I'd rather get the original release, though.

It looks like it's going to be a Tamashii web-shop exclusive so unless you live in Japan, forget about getting one anyway, unless you use a go-between like Tokyohunter. Expect to pay for it, too.

What's kind of funny is that those photos don't even show the ADDITIONAL
armor that's supposed to go on top of the mech.

... but then again, that might explain the decreased price if it doesn't come with the armor parts for its "ship" mode. Kind of a pity, but I guess understandable, since people will probably want the mech to be a mech, as opposed to a giant, lumpy, black and purple bird-of-prey thing.

I dig bulky...this is quite beautiful, imo.
