What's with that expression on Wolverine's face??

Kluster Bombs 01-24-2009 11:21 AM

I will stay away from these and just buy the 3 3/4" scale. But if they make a Deadpool I will buy it.

The look of shock because ML is not dead.

Beast 01-24-2009 12:08 PM

I'm guessing this is going to be a store exclusive repack of figures.

Wal-Mart often requests cheap repacks for store exclusives.

They did the same thing for the Star Wars movies when they came to DVD.

Still gives us hope that we will see some new figures.

Beast 01-24-2009 12:47 PM

No need for hope. Hasbro's already confirmed more ML.

And Jesse Falcon mentioned to watch NYCC.

Shin Densetsu 01-24-2009 01:59 PM

Man this one looks way better than the X2 version! That version was the only super articulated movie costume Wolvy. I just hope this one has the double jointed elbows, I can't really tell so far.

Flint 01-24-2009 02:28 PM

Come on Deadpool re-issue....

Yes, that too!

AutoBot Mirage 01-24-2009 03:04 PM

Oh... wow... just wow... They seem to be going backwards from what we saw of the Iron Man and Maria Hill set? But yeah this wolverine looks better than the first movie one did, but still... Looking at his head compared to Beast's head he looks like a bobble head.

I hope Hasbro has something better in the works for us, cause I will be passing on this set.

Zalis 01-24-2009 10:55 PM

Does anyone else think that Wolverine's head looks like Ash from the Evil Dead movies? lol

ShinGetterPrime 01-26-2009 03:31 AM

well this is good news for 6" collectors. as its a definite sign its indeed alive.

Jesse Falcon? Is he with Hasbro now? I thought he was with Marvel Toys (formerly Toy Biz).

I already have Beast, but that Wolvie might be worth getting.

Still hoping for Marvel Legends to continue, and hoping that they will be available in my area. I never found any of the Hasbro twinpacks in stores.

And the 3 3/4 inch line doesn't interest me in the least. After building a 6 inch collection over all these years, I don't have the desire nor the cash to start over with a new scale.

Shin Densetsu 02-18-2009 03:46 PM

I'll be getting both packs, as I don't have any super articulated X-Men movie figures.

sgt.bludhound 02-24-2009 12:46 PM

are they 3 3/4 scale? if they are i might get them! they do look way better than the original release from toy biz.

unioncap 02-24-2009 03:20 PM

eh I wouldn't bother getting these. I thought they were gonna change em not just get the movie ones and put them together and call it a two pack.

6" scale

pdenton81 03-09-2009 11:06 AM

Does anyone know when these will hit stores?

Or what other characters we can expect?

rwsharpjr 03-10-2009 09:22 AM

I would be willing to bet that these will be two out of three Walmart exclusive 2packs released to coincide with the release of the XMEN Trilogy on Blu-ray.

It's being released 4/21.

If you look at the shot of the Cyclops/Colossus 2 pack, you can see that the silver sticker or label says "XMen Trilogy Collection".

It'll probably be similar to the Star Wars exclusives that came out when they were released on dvd.
They had one 3 pack for each movie.

They're just using Wolverine packaging to cross sell with the current movie and it's product.

SO who would be in a 3rd 2 pack?

The easiest way to get the most characters out would be to use
X3 Juggernaut and X3 Phoenix.(Or they could just repackage one or the other with another Wolverine.)

If you look closely,it looks like they're just repackaging Colossus and Beast, and probably just using a random body repainted with a new head for Cyclops and Wolverine. Their bodies don't look like any of the previous Xmovie figures' to me.

(I'll try to figure out whose bodies they are.)

rob0213 03-12-2009 08:59 PM

Not a fan of these. For some reason, they just don't work for me.

PureToreador 04-03-2009 01:46 PM

Personally, I only collect Marvel Movie figures. I have a Marvel Movie universe. The Wolvie and Cyclops have got to be two of the most horrible looking figures I've seen. Perhaps I'm spoiled because I still think ToyBiz did it better, but compared to the movie versions ToyBiz made of these guys for X2, these are a sad disappointment. I had hopes of replacing the X2 Logan whose arm my dog chewed off just the other day when he fell from his shelf while I was at work. Instead, Hasbro is producing a "Movie Wolverine" that has all the style and grace of a Dollar General generic.

Mint Condition 04-15-2009 04:50 PM

Amen PureToreador. The figures look like shite on a stick.

But as others have mentioned, if they repackage a 6-inch Deadpool I'm all over that.

I'll still hold out hope for a Movie Deadpool though. I mean Movie Wade Wilson...or Deadpool. I dunno. I'm so confused about this movie.

Shin Densetsu 04-15-2009 07:10 PM

I am disappointed that Wolverine is an Ultimate Wolverine repaint.
