Rumor: New Dc Super Friends Robin & Penguin?
 

UPDATE - Robin has been confirmed!

File this one under rumor, but I heard from a source within the toy industry this week that Mattel may be producing more of the rescue hero scale Dc SuperFriends. And furthermore, that Robin and Penguin may be on the slate. I guess Toy Fair will tell us in a few weeks, but until then, here are the Robin and Penguin Dc Super Friends designs.

I like those! I would have to end up finally buying Batman if they do these. I picked up the batmobile for about $8, so I should get on the ball.

I thought the Superfriend line was finished. I haven't seen anything reported on them in a while.

Not at all, in fact Target has just newly placed them in their "boy-toy" isle right next to the Brave & the Bold and Dark Knight toys.

Good to hear. That line is neat and I'm glad to see it continue. Did the Joker ever come out?

The Joker hasn't been released in the 5" line..he did come out in the smaller 'Imaginext' line, though.

UPDATE - a prototype for Robin has sprung up on ebay, so it looks like the rumors are on the right track....
