Batman - minor mod / repaint
I was left a little disappointed with the DCUC wave 1 Batman and I finally did something about it.
http://www.toyark.com/members/blastm...ums/43/273.jpg I took the body from a DC Superheroes Wave 3 Batman. I didn't like his gnarly, half-warped face, but I loved the rest of him. Giant pouches and all. Then DCUC came along and gave us a new Bats, one with a wholly non-warped face, but kind of boring everything else. A quick bath in hot water for both of them, and a simple head swap and I was pleased, even though the blues didn't match. The answer of course was to make our "Dark" Knight exactly that. Dark. A couple of thin coats of black paint and a semi-gloss sealant for a somewhat shined up look brought everything home. I then took to his left foot with a drill bit just the right size to provide a hole for the peg on the stands from Matty Collector and I was done. Enjoy. http://www.toyark.com/members/blastm...ums/43/274.jpg http://www.toyark.com/members/blastm...ums/43/271.jpg http://www.toyark.com/members/blastm...ums/43/270.jpg http://www.toyark.com/members/blastm...ums/43/272.jpg |
WIN! The gloss coat looks great too!

Surprising how one simple head swap, can turn something mediocre into fantastic!
Great job on this one mate! |
