Custom Soundwave - Voyager Classics Satellite
Hi there. Thanks for coming by!
As I'm finally getting caught back up on commissions and things get back to a normal pace, I managed to wrap on a project I've had brewing for a awhile. He's a different take on a much used mold...an idea from ROTF given the Classics 2010 treatment. I had a Shockblast I had been meaning to turn into a personal Shockwave, but I had a burst of inspiration and instead wound up with this. His cable accessories were inspired by Transformers Prime and are bendy. Soundwave - Classics Satellite update: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS9.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS2.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS3.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS4.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS5.jpghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS6.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS7.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS8.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...hanger/SS1.jpg Totally hand painted using a blue of my mixing, exclusively using TMMA. The head and gun are both from a Unicron Trilogy Voyager Soundwave. The tentacles were inspired by Transformers Prime and hand made from spare parts. Any comments love or hate are encouraged, thanks for your time! |
Very cool job! Love the TF:Prime tentacles and spot-on with the color scheme too.
And I would not have thought of using Energon Shockblast as a base. In fact, when I glanced at the first pic before reading your write-up, I thought you were going to tell me you started with a WFC Soundwave as a base. Then after taking a closer look, I was able to see it. |
This is a very strong custom Transformer, imo. Thanks so much for sharing :)

That is bad ass!

Soundwave Superior!

Wow that's awesome work

Not digging the alt modes so much. However, the excellent robot mode adaptation, the clean paint job and the surprising use of the Shockblast mold have me sold. Well done. your custom work has really excelled in the last year.

wow! that's awesome!

I freakin LOVE Soundwave and this is an awesome idea, the satellite looks 100 times better than the movie satellite. Its g1 meets movie, Hasbro should really consider doing a figure like this for their universe/reveal the shield line. I love it, wish I had the money to make an offer to buy it from u.

Awesomely done! Salute!
