Well the rumors this time are true! Wave 17 for DCUC is coming soon and it is our first step into the Blackest Night!

While we do have more Blackest Night concepts in the wings, this wave should help whet fans appetite for all the colored Lantern goodness!

Wave 17 will consist of Orange Lantern Luthor, Yellow Lantern Scarecrow, White Lantern Hal Jordan (with Black Lantern Variant), Violet Lantern Wonder Woman, Blue Lantern Flash and Indigo Lantern Atom. Together they will create a Collect and Connect modern Anti-Monitor!

And to answer the inevitable question, we did look into Red Lantern Mera. The only way to do her right is with a 100% tool and for that cost we can do 4 other figures. So while she did not make the cut this time around, we do know fans want complete sets and we are committed to one day getting her out there!

I'm getting this entire wave!

WOW IT'S GL CLASSICS wave #3 While I don't believe this is necessarily going to kill DCUC as most people are speculating, I do think that there are so many other characters that could and should have been produced way before we see a wave like this one.
Matty it's time to step it up and give something to the collectors you supposedly aim to please by releasing action figures of characters they've been clamoring for over years rather than a rehash of DCD's quick cash in of a series that's not even 3 years old. I heard the line will be sort of back on track with the rumored Super Friends wave. I thought the name of the series is DC Universe Classics.

DCUC.Info passed this collage image on to me this morning. Surprised this is the next line, but I am loving Scarecrow, Flash and White Lantern Hal Jordan!

Having read Crisis on Infinite Earths a few years back, and becoming a Lantern fan since college, there is no way in hell I am going to pass up this wave, especially with an Anti-Monitor C&C! Hopefully he is sufficiently big. Hope the figures by final production, will use double joints and ball jointed wrists, so far, Scarecrow seems to be the only one to do so. Dig the Hal variants.

What a total waste of a wave. I will not be buying any of them because I already have them! So many GL's out there that have no figure, and we get this line where they wore those costumes for maybe 3 issues. What a waste.

Seems this is going to be a love it or hate it type of wave. :rolleyes:

This wave is insane! I'd love to get the Scarecrow from this wave.. Here's hoping I can come across it, as it'll be my SECOND figure from this line if I do.

I hear ya man, I wrecked an expensive pair of jeans and a leather highbacked office chair at work after I saw these shots! :p

This is the single most epic wave of DCUC yet!
It's not perfect, but this is like the first wave where every single figure complements every other one, even the BaF!
I understand people who aren't GL fans complaining, and perhaps it should be GLC wave. but look at it this way. One wave, gets most of the figures you don't want to see out of the way, and they won't be taking up space in later waves, forcing you to buy them to complete a BaF you may want.

Personally, I'd rather see the rest of the Corps Leaders than these deputies. Saint Walker, Larfleeze, Indigo, and an Atrocitus BaF, but I can understand why Mattel would choose star names like these for DCUC.

Id like to see a Brightest Day Martian. I like my superheroes with pants. Who wears short shorts?!

Me, I'd like to see another five-pack, like the GL they just released. A Brightest Day/White Lantern set, with Superman, J'onn, and such. But that may just be me.

We need a White Lantern Animal Man!!!

With the exception of a modern Connor, we have every White Lantern from that splash page in figure form I do believe. It'd be easy to make a couple of boxed sets.

Wonder if Wave 18 will be Brightest Day revamped characters like Green Arrow (with a proper bow and arrow set) and Hawk! :D

While that would certainly appeal to me (DEFINATELY want a modern Arrow), wave 18 is rumored to be entirely Superfriends.

The most repetitious rumor on wave # 18 is it's mostly Superfriends related, El Dorado, Samaurai, Black Vulcan, Superfriends version Bizarro possibily having switchable head and hands to make the figure be either Bizarro or Superman I'm suspecting that this maybe where fans finally see that light blue costume version released, Bronze Age version Manhunter, Silver Age version Metallo,and the c and c Apache Chief. So far Cornboy from the 4 Horsemen hasn't shot this rumor down but then again he shot the rainbow lanterns rumor down before the official anouncement of wave # 17. NYC Toy Fair is only a month and 1/2 away so we should know at least about the next 2 waves during that time.

I want a Dick Grayson Batman more than any figure they could ever produce.
